You need to try and give discount on your extra charges especially if the customer is a frequent one like me...just rented two in march and I rented one for two days but I ended up paying $140 for two days!

It took me over 1 hour to just return my truck and some boxes.... I drove my truck rental into the return area and waited for 20 minutes, I was the only one waiting at that time and no employee in sight. So I go inside to tell them that I have a truck return, and I was told to goto the equipment return area to return the truck, I told them that there was nobody out there and the employee very rudely told me to go back outside. I went back outside and waited for 10 more minutes, and a line began to form with more people waiting to return their equipment and another waiting for a propane tank refill. Eventually a employee arrived, but then proceded to take care of the other people in line, all who arrived after I did. When he finally got to me, he was very rude. And when I told him I had boxes to return he told me to carry them all from the truck into the store, which is quite a distance if you have many boxes. I had about 40 boxes. He gave me back the key to the truck when he was done and he told me to drive it back to the store and carry all the boxes into the store then wait in line, AGAIN, to return the boxes. While i was returning the boxes another employee told me to take the truck back to the return area... At this point it had been over an hour And i was just ready to leave I returned the boxes and left the key with the employee to return the truck him self...

Our truck was a piece of shit. It did not start right away and we had to turn the key and flood the engine each time we tried to start it... making the whole area wreak of gasoline. Speaking of, when we picked up the truck the gas gauge said full, but when we went to fill up the tank, we had to put in 36 gallons. We only went 26 miles. Either this truck is getting insanely poor gas mileage or the gauge is broken. If you are going to charge people for gas and tell them that they will be screwed if they do not return the gas level where it started, it seems ridiculous to have a broken gauge. The truck felt very very very unsafe and I feel like Uhaul is just going to let people drive it until it breaks down or gets into an accident. That is scary. I am never ever ever renting anything from Uhaul ever again. Never. I do not trust you to repair your vehicles in a way that is safe for anyone. I would not wish a ride in that truck on my worst enemy. I would not take a cow to the slaughter house in that truck. The train cars that Hitler used in Nazi Germany to take people to the concentration camps were safer that this truck. I guess that means I'm saying Uhaul is worse than Hitler. I don't know how you sleep at night giving that truck to people to drive around in. It is a miracle I am alive.

The quote on the email saying what's due in store after reserving the uhaul needs to start including lol the extr fees that are included in the price. The email said $174 was due in store & I got there & was told I needed to pay $209. Bullshit. When the information needs to be updated in all systems because when i tried to reserve a uhaul in My preferred city, i was shown online there were no available uhauls in that particular city of the surrounding ones. When I was shown an available uhaul somewhere, I kept getting an error message when I tried to reserve it for $184. So I called the uhaul number & was told by the representative there was in fact a uhaul available in the city I preferred & it was $280. 100 more than what I had already found. I notified the representative of the price I was looking at online & she looked again on her end & found a deal cheaper than what I saw. I told her the city I wanted to pick up from & she said I was all set. I got an text message the next morning stating I had to pick up the uhaul from a completely different city about 15-20 miles away from the city I requested & was told where I'd reserved my equipment. I then cancelled that reservation because it was too far away & made another reservation in a different city that id be traveling through. Made the reservation online from my mobile device and then was sent a text message a few minutes later saying my pick up was from a completely different city other than what I requested AGAIN! However the city it had me pick up from was what I originally requested the day prior. So the shit was all stupid fucked up. I get to the location to get the uhaul, the guy at the desk was nice however he put my name & address completely wrong in the system & asked me to verify the information before paying, I told him it was wrong his words were "too late, I already hit the button". I also said to him the price he gave me didn't match what I was quoted when I reserved my uhaul, his response was very rude. His words were "yes it was" in a very nonchalant, unsympathetic tone & not even making eye contact. I ordered a dolly with my reservation & they didn't even give me a strap for the dolly so the thing just banged around in the back while I was driving the uhaul. MY EXPERIENCE WAS THEE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I will not be looking into the uhaul company for my next move. Too many hidden fees, none of the information is ever correct when reserving, & the staff are pretty rude. Didn't come in contact with any pleasant person in the process.

I did know how to turn off the tow function. It would be helpful to have something in the truck or on the paperwork to help locate as I did not need it. Otherwise everything was great.

Equipment was fine however service was not. I asked for a appliance dolly and a dozen furniture pads. I was told they are in the back of the truck waiting for me. Before I left I had a feeling they didn't actually load them-- I was correct. The truck was empty. I had to go back in and wait for someone to help provide the equipment I paid for. I then returned the vehicle and equipment the night I rented it and dropped the keys in the box. I received a message THREE days later that I never returned the truck. They had to check the security footage to validate that I had indeed returned the truck before charging me the accurate amount.

I was asked if I wanted to drop off the vehicle at another location closer to my destination and said yes, but then was told I could not. I called that location and was told the same, despite having done this in the past. I called customer service who said this would be no problem, but there was a system issue preventing them from transfering me to scheduling, and so no one could change my drop off location. I eventually dropped off the vehicle at the location of my choice and hoped for the best. There appeared to be no repercussions on the receipt, which begs the question why I was wasting my time trying to make uhauls job easier in the middle of a stressful move, since there was obviously no benefit to me for dropping off anywhere but the location of my choice. I will use another service next time as the disregard for my needs by the customer service staff over the 12 phone calls I made was jarring.

Have more people available in office to handle high traffic times. I had to wait 20 minutes in line to get service . One person working on Sat morning at 0900 & 20 people in line as you opened. Not good.

I only purchased a uhaul pick up truck, I had it a total of 3 hours went 62 miles.And was charged 71.00 and change and put 9.00 in gas!!!! So I think this is way to much..but not again!!!!
