Placed the reservation online, immediately received an email saying it was changed to a "share" rental, if I wanted a 'share' rental I would have signed up for that. Email says call us if you don't want that, I was on hold for 20 minutes and hung up because I was tired of waiting. How does a 29.95/day truck turn into $140 a day? I understand insurance ($14), taxes and crap and they charged me for fuel for 30 miles. I ask the clerk how a $30 truck cost $120, ask 3x, no good reply, there was a lines starting to form, so a just left. What happened to paying for the actual miles used? Drove the truck 11 miles, I said it would be 30 miles, I over-estimated to be safe. Clerk says "don't worry, you will get a refund if you don't go 30 miles". Cost me another $19+ for fuel when I returned it. So I paid for 30 miles, went 11 and had to pay an additional $20???? Ask for 12 furniture pads, didn't use them, didn't take them out of the bag, no refund. You guys have quite the frigging racket going on. You need some competition. I will NEVER rent another U-Haul, I will make multiple trips with my pick-up.

Have a bigger window between drop off and pick up between customers so pick up customers are not inconvenienced and can have time to adapt when drop off customers don’t return equipment

I did the online pre-check-in which was advertised to save me 1/2 the time to check in, but when I got there I had to give them all the same information over again so it seemed pointless and didn't seem to save any time. The staff was very helpful in making sure the trailer was hitched up correctly. Drop off was very efficient and quick!

Allow after hours drop-off WITHOUT REQUIRING TO HAVE A PHONE APP - you used to allow this and it worked great for the customer, please understand that not everyone has apps on their phone (or wants them) ...AT LEAST ALLOW ONLINE AFTER HOURS DROP-OFF. Yes some companies only provide services through apps (e.g. uber, lyft, etc.) however the BIG DIFFERENCE IS THOSE COMPANIES BEGAN THAT WAY AND DID NOT HAVE IN-PERSON OR ONLINE OPTIONS FOR THEIR SERVICES PRIOR... Uhaul is not a tech company and has for many years allowed after hours drop-off ... not allowing it now it an insult and created a bottle neck of everyone trying to drop off their rentals before close.. as a result the staff was overwhelm, stressed and the customer had to wait a long time... please rethink you policy. I am not sure I will ever be using Uhaul again because of the requirement to use the APP to utilize afterhours drop-off, in my specific case it was a huge stress to return my rental same-day before 5pm (when I had paid for the rental through 9am the next day) because I needed to be at work the next day by 7:30 (before the 65th location would open). Please rethink you policy regarding requiring the APP for after hours drop-off and the impact that thoughtless policy is having on your customer and your staff !!!

better parking for customers. theres 1 handicap and all the open spaces are filled with uhaul trucks, people are told to park at the target across the street and have to walk to the store. this in itself is not a abig deal for most but i can see it being a big deal for disabled or injured person.

This location is great but your website is horrible as i reserved the following day for 24hrs at the stockton location but only got 4 hrs. I doubt i will use u haul again due to the problems this has now caused w my move

The guy who helped me was nice enough but not personable. I wish he would have suggested product to me and explained just a few of the basics about the U-haul..... i.e. how to open the back and pull out the ramp. Did I figure it out yes.....it just would have been a courtesy. There was another gentleman there that was NOT my guy but he was very personable that I wished he was helping me.

1. The equipment I reserved was not available, even though the website said it was. 2. The customer service rep who called 15 minutes prior to my pickup was rude, sarcastic, bad-mouthed your company’s website accuracy, refused to honor your guarantee, told me this wasn’t her problem, would not honor the price for a trailer that was one size bigger, refused to let me speak to a supervisor or to give me her superior’s name and contact information, and hung up on me. 3. The location where the trailer was reserved is not a U-Haul location. So...you can improve my experience by: 1. Maintain an accurate inventory on your website if that’s going to be an option. 2. Verify that your U-Haul locations are in fact locations. 3. Empower your customer service reps to satisfy the customer. 4. Expect your customer service reps to honor company policies. 5. Train your customer service reps in cordial, professional, and civil discourse with customers.
