Charged me 3 times because of employee error U-Haul is still holding that money the workers offered no help stuck me with 114$ dollar bill instead of the 57.11$ my ORIGINAL receipt .worker error on there part for not checking in the equipment has cost me not them would not recommend going thru this to anyone else U-Haul takes there sweet time fixing this issues but is lightning quick to hold on to my money

Does anyone operate a real U-Haul truck rental in Salinas? The largest one didn't have a late drop off option. The one I went to was operated as a side gig for a party supply store (Galaxy Party Supply). Their phone number only had a message in Spanish, and when I arrived to pick up the truck no one on site spoke English. In broken Spanish and with a print out of the reservation we worked through a rental process until an employee who spoke English, who I assume was offsite, arrived. Both of the counter staff at the party supply store were frantically calling him. I probably lost about 20-30 minutes. In the end the truck (10' box) ran fine. It was a bit dirty inside, but not a big deal. I made it back to the party supply place and dropped off the key about 10pm. Not to be misconstrued here. The two women behind the counter were courteous and tried their best to work with me, but simply couldn't complete the tasks to print the paperwork, so I have nothing against them. I assume they are operating via a franchise agreement, which is fine, as long as U-Haul ensures any franchise operators have staff that can speak English. In this part of California, having Spanish speakers is a plus, but English is still the primary language. I was less than a minute from calling another U-Haul rental place about a mile away when the young man who spoke English appeared and completed the rental transaction. Just about the craziest U-Haul rental experience I have ever had in 40 years of renting U-Haul trucks.

JHULIEMAR GRevised!! Although U-Haul screwed up and sent me to a location that did not have the dollies I requested, the young lady that helped me made arrangements with another local rental facility to get the supplies I needed. She was great as she fixed the problem created by U-Haul
TIMOTHY WThe truck was not clean. I understand that trucks will not be spotless, but it had dirt and leaves all through the cab and cargo areas. The right blinker was not working, which was a safety hazard. The windshield had a significant crack in it on the driver side, about 9 inches long.
