geoffrey bThe speedy mart location was a disaster I went there to pick up the truck on time Saturday morning. The system was down so I had to complete the process on my phone while the owner/ manager looked at me. When I got the truck the dolly I ordered and payed for and the furniture pads where not included and I left without them, again the manager was not bothered by this when I returned the truck and said I should call the number to get my money back?! NO HELP AT ALL. The truck was covered in bird shit and overall this was not what I was used to from Uhaul. Now I need to figure out how to get a refund on the items that where not available.
DUNCAN GI would not recommend using U-Haul right now. I’ve used them for every move I’ve ever made, but this time they tried to charge me a $240 wrongful drop-off fee. When I looked up where to return my rental, I went to an address that showed after-hours drop-off, so I followed the instructions. The app never told me it was the wrong location. If it had, I would have gladly returned it to the original pick-up site. I didn’t even drive 40 miles, yet my rental total came out to over $250. That is ridiculous. The system also doesn’t explain that for in-town rentals, it automatically sets your return location to the pick-up location — which is confusing and misleading. Moving is already stressful, but this situation pushed it over the edge. This needs to be fixed.
