Some one returned the trailer that I used, dirty. Luckly I was hauling sand so when I was finished I washed the trailer out before I returned it. When I worked for U-Haul it was a lot different more so at a courp office.THOMAS C.

I showed up at the location to pick up my U-Haul. There was a lock box but I had no code. Waited on hold with customer service for 40 minutes. Was told the location did not receive my U-Haul so I needed to switch locations. Drive another 40 minutes to a new location. I missed my arrival deadline in Dallas due to all of the delays. U-Haul should call proactively if they need you to switch locations rather than wait for you to show up and call when you can't figure it out. Would not recommend U-Haul to my friends who are planning on moving cross country soon.JESSE H.
We reserved a truck from a different location just to be told they didn't have a truck for us. What is the point of reserving a truck if you are not going to have the truck. I understand there are circumstances that are out of your control however the truck was over 15 miles away from the location we reserved it from. Seems like customer service would have been to take a truck to that location for us (which I asked for) but that didn't happen. BUT then to charge us for the 30+ miles is a shame. If we had not already scheduled movers we would have looked for a company that would have been more honorable. U-Haul took 10.00 off the rental fee of the truck, the extra mileage was a bigger charge! We get to the other location just to be told that the truck was brought back empty. We had to stop at the closest gas station. Just wondering how happy you would have been if you received this kind of service. I can't help but think it is U-Haul attempt to find a way to get more money out of customers because most people have planned for the movehence the word â€œreserveâ€.CYNTHIA G.

Staff is uninterested in assisting. They rented a truck to us that had no left signal or tail light and the assistant manager just said oh yea gotcha. Normally we check those things. Call the 800 for your refund. I wasnt looking for a refund. Looking to tell someone about it so you dont rent it out again. Always use uhaul but this time it was bad from rental to returnLAURA M.

I reserved a trailer a month in advance for you to tell me the day of you don't have it. I had to make multiple trips to dallas and back because of your lack of organization. To top it off I had to call 6 times to get my reservation updated bevauae each time I called nothing saved. Overall I'd spend the money to use Penske or budget.BRITTNI H.

The vehicle was dirty and damaged. I took and submitted pictures, but the location refuses to answer the phone and hangs up on me automatically when I call. They charge for damage that is already on the vehicle. Don't use this location. Don't use Uhaul.Jonathan H.
The inside of the truck and the bed were dirty, broken glass, empty plastic bottle and trash on the floor. I returned the gas tank at the exact spot as when I drove off. I was charged $52.00 for three gallons of gas on top off my rental charge. The same guy who signed me out was the same guy I spoke to challenging the charges. Long story short he said it was my responsibility to tell him before I drove off that the tank was not exactly at a 1/4 of a tank. This was an attack on my integrity and the morals by which I live my life. I will never rent anything from U-haul nor will I suggest U-haul to anyone I know.BONIFACIO R.
For starters, I have a huge problem with the reservation process. No one called me to schedule the pick up time and location, so I called in my â€œpreferred pick up locationâ€ at 2390 Austin Hwy, San Antonio TX at about 11:30am. They said the 6x12 trailer had been double booked, but that they would give me the trailer bc I had the first reservation. I scheduled a time of 2pm and asked if I needed to go earlier. They assured me the trailer would be available when I got there. However, when I arrived at the Austin Hwy location, they told me they did not have a trailer for me and your employee Jose could not have been any less concerned. When I tried to discuss the phone conversation I had with his store not three hours earlier confirming my reservation, he refused to listen and told me he did not care. Complete incompetence and/or lack of concern for your customers from the Austin Hwy location crew! He even told me to go to Penske down the road. As for the Nacogdoches location where i ultimately picked up this trailer... This location was clean enough. The two guys I spoke to were cordial and helpful, but the trailer itself was in rough shape. There was a tie down inside the trailer (front lower left) that had been pulled out which they were unable to replace. If they had a simple torx wrench and a replacement tie down, we could have resolved it in about 3 minutes. The inability to use that tie down made it very difficult to secure my cargo! Additionally, there was a bolt missing from the first bar on the front of the trailer which made that less than secure. And the floor of the trailer was not completely secure and moved up and down under my feet. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and sadly in-line with my average experience with UHAUL.MICHAEL K.

The truck was awful, after driving it down the street the front left wheel was.damaged and I could not drive faster than 40 mph. I took the truck back, and told the young lady about the problem. Her answer was that was the only 17 ft. available sorry, what did I want to do, I needed it for 15.5 ft material so I was stuck. She said all the equipment is totally checked every time it's returned. Guess she just tried to appease me. I have always used your service atleast 6 times this year check and never have I felt uncomfortable or scared to drive. Can't give you a passing score, but a little frightened about the next customer and their safety. Not good.GERALD R.
