My comments are not about the specific pickup and dropoff locations, they are about the overall experience with Uhaul. I have honestly never struggled so much to receive a simple service in my life than I have with Uhaul during this move. Booking a standard 10' Uhaul to move from Victoria to Nelson was an absolute nightmare. We had to jump through a ridiculous number of hoops in the days leading up to the move just to ensure we would have *any* truck on our requested moving day, despite making a reservation weeks in advance. I realize that inter-city moves involve a lot of moving parts with scheduling, but the communication from Uhaul was so abysmal and confusing, it added an immense amount of stress to an already stressful time. If you're planning to rent a truck for an inter-city move, prepare yourself to spend a lot of time on the phone advocating for your reservation to be honoured and expect many last minute changes, including in the minutes before your pickup or drop-off time. Really unacceptable.

The interior dome light was dangling down in the cab, and the check engine light was illuminated throughout our trip. We were informed that it was a sensor issue, but still felt like a risk to drive vehicle. No appliance dolly was available to rent.

MICHAEL INew trucks come with a round plug. The trailer has a flat plug and this location did not have any adapters so we drove with no lights to the next town and found an auto supply place. I should not have had to do that
ROBERT HCalling uHaul customer service many times and was not given correct information. Was given an inaccurate cost estimate. No call from schedules as promised. Was confirmed booking for a 10 ft truck when location has no 10 ft truck. I suspect Uhaul advertised prices in USD even though giving me a reservation in Canada, did not provide cost in CAD and did not specify which currency was being used. Location pickup was not informed on any Uhaul policies or procedures. I hope to never be a customer of this company ever again and I look forward to giving online reviews to warn others.
