I booked a 10' truck a week in advance. On pick up day, the truck was only just being serviced. We were given a 15' truck, which worked well for our needs and I do appreciate that we got it at the 10' rate. Fortunately, Neil, the person behind the desk was very helpful in sorting the situation out. We weren't informed of the problem with the "Fuel Intake (Issue)" (fuel cap did not lock into place) even though the warning indicator came up as soon as it was first started. We had to get Neil to come out and verify that it was a pre-existing problem before we left (Neil was not aware that the truck had this problem before we pointed it out). He was the only one in the store and it inconvenienced both of us.

I am satisfied with this rental except for the wrong 16000 dollar charge on my credit card which I certainly hope is fixed soon.
DONALD HMy comments are not about the specific pickup and dropoff locations, they are about the overall experience with Uhaul. I have honestly never struggled so much to receive a simple service in my life than I have with Uhaul during this move. Booking a standard 10' Uhaul to move from Victoria to Nelson was an absolute nightmare. We had to jump through a ridiculous number of hoops in the days leading up to the move just to ensure we would have *any* truck on our requested moving day, despite making a reservation weeks in advance. I realize that inter-city moves involve a lot of moving parts with scheduling, but the communication from Uhaul was so abysmal and confusing, it added an immense amount of stress to an already stressful time. If you're planning to rent a truck for an inter-city move, prepare yourself to spend a lot of time on the phone advocating for your reservation to be honoured and expect many last minute changes, including in the minutes before your pickup or drop-off time. Really unacceptable.
EMMA CThe interior dome light was dangling down in the cab, and the check engine light was illuminated throughout our trip. We were informed that it was a sensor issue, but still felt like a risk to drive vehicle. No appliance dolly was available to rent.
