Absolute nightmare of an experience. I was told that my total after taxes so this is the overall total was going to be $108 and change I made the reservation. I paid for it before I even went to go pick it up so the address takes me to this junkyard looking place. It’s an old Ricky. . It’s an old rickety gas station that just has U-Haul vehicles and a parking lot next to it. I go inside and the lady immediately starts telling me how her system is frozen and how she’s not sure if she’s gonna be able to rent it to me even though I had a confirmation number showing her the payment as well and she just kept playing the I don’t know game but with some luck, somebody who knew what they were doing, showed up for about six minutes before he left again, but he was able to at least give me the keys so I can get in the vehicle and get out of there. The vehicle ran fine no problems there. The big problem was when I returned the vehicle. I see a day later that U-Haul charged me $140 and not the $108 I was told I paid for. So I called the place and the lady keeps telling me he she just keeps repeating the same words she kept going. It’s an estimate. It’s an estimate. It’s an estimate. It’s an estimate and telling her that I understand what the word estimate means, but when I’m asking you the question, why are you charging me 140 when I have a confirmation number for a purchase rental of $108 her only response over and over again was that “it’s an estimate “she did not consider at least explaining what the fuck was going on instead of acting like a fucking child. Do not rent from this place. I called the phone number that comes up if you search it and I don’t know if it was the same girl but she would pick up and say “hello “and not hi this is U-Haul. How can I help you? “ So I spent a ridiculous amount of money now this is for a single day rental of a van on the side of these vans, they say 1995 and yes, I know about the mileage. It’s not the mileage. I did not go over the mileage so don’t start saying how it’s the mileage. You guys conned me just charged whatever amount you want on my card gave me no decency of explanation and then after all this was said and done they tried to do it again the following day for a charge of $32 no explanation nothing. You people with jobs out there in the service industry need to hire less low IQ employees and stop stealing people’s money. This is just a gas station who can charge your card for whatever amount they want and when you ask them about it, they just repeat. It’s an estimate or “sorry that’s U-Haul not us. “ offering. Zero exclamation for what the hell was going on I don’t know where these people get off just openly stealing from people and lying about it. It’s absolutely crazy to me.

The truck I rented was dirty inside and out. The was damage all over this particular truck. The drivers door was difficult to open as it might have been caught in a wind storm. There was rust also on the drivers door at the bottom. The rollup door was also hard to open. It could have used some lubricant. When I went to return the truck the fuel low light would not go out. It ma be time to retire this piece of equipment. On the plus side the people there were very friendly and helpful.
John PTruck cargo area was dirty.
Juan CThe app was tricky at certain times for doing mobile pickup/drop off. But overall it was a good experience.
Elisabeth DThe original reservation was changed the day before my move to an inconvenient location. Then when we went to pickup the vehicle, we were having difficulty with the self serve option and the person attending the office refused to help. Then when we finally found the lockbox for the check-in, there was a note on the keys stating the blankets and dollies that were reserved would also not be available. I understand that things happen, but this made an already stressful move so much worse.
