Communication between roadside assist and store employees, when I first went in to pick up equipment waited in office for about 12 min and wandered around inside while waiting to be greeted by an employee. I was the only customer there so they weren't busy with other customers, possibly doing drugs?

The move would have been a lot easier if the truck that I rented had included a ramp. Moving very large and heavy furniture without a ramp was nearly impossible.

I rented a 17' moving truck from this location and had some minor issues right from the beginning. Not only was the fuel level incorrect and too high on the contract, but there was some minor dirt and debris from the last movers apparently. Furthermore, the truck had damage all over to it and the fenders around the tires were banged up pretty good, looked like someone went off-roading in it. I ended up talking to my customer service rep who rented me the truck and got the fuel issue squared away. I figured that the dirt/debris wouldn't be an issue as I was just moving boxes and furniture. I ended up moving my apartment across town and needed the truck a little past the time of when the store closed at 1700. I returned the truck after the store was closed, put the same amount of fuel that I rented it with, and since I only moved boxes and furniture, figured the dirt/debris wouldn't be an issue from the previous mover. When I got my receipt the next day, I was shocked to see a charge of $10.00 plus a $1.30 tax for a cleaning fee for something that probably took less than 5 minutes to blow out since there wasn't much dirt in the back of the truck in the first place and wasn't even created by me. I have tried calling the U-Haul location directly to address this issue and was even told by Customer Service that the charge would be reversed, but nobody has returned my calls or taken care of this issue. I don't appreciate the way U-Haul treats their customers and in the future since I'm affiliated with the military and move often, will look at Budget, Ryder, and Penske before renting from U-Haul again.

The person who rented me the pick up did not explain anything at all. The $20 pick up ended up being $51. The sales person told me that was only if I went over 25 mi and everything went wrong. I got back and had driven 21 mi and filled the gas. The guy told my I owed the estimate

The rep was polite, helpful, and explained that the extra $30 I was being charged was a hold that would be released upon return of the truck. I requested a dolley but discovered upon arriving at my house that one was not provided. I called and was told that it would be refunded. I was supposed to be charged $43 something and was instead charged $87.57. I can't get in touch w the store and the 800 # can't refund the monies immediately. Very frustrating when I expect a charge to be a certain amount. Company would not like it if they expected payment and didn't receive it as expected.

In the most recent past I'd given U-Haul absolute excellent reviews. Please read them. However my most recent experience in renting a van to accomplish a few tasks locally was a nightmare. I don't want to play the card that I'm a disabled veteran, but I'm a disabled veteran who struggles each and every day. At the end of September 2016 I moved and had placed a few items into a U-Haul storage unit here in Tucson, Arizona. One of my purposes for renting the U-Haul van on Monday, November 14 was to remove a few items from storage and to take a few items to the car wash and clean them and allow them to dry out before placing them back into the U-Haul storage unit. Several days prior to renting the van I'd received an email from U-Haul stating that the monthly payment on the storage unit was in a rear. I called U-Haul and was told by a representative that U-Haul had received the due payment for the U-Haul storage, but the payment was not the correct amount, so U-Haul had sent the payment back to my payee representative. I have an appointed payee as a result of a seizure that occurred to me approximately three years ago. My payee pays my bills for me. The payment that was sent to U-Haul was $1.57 short, which was mostly taxes. As a result of the incorrect payment U-Haul charged me an additional $15. Prior to renting the U-Haul van, when I spoke to the U-Haul representative, he assured me that I would have access to my storage unit. The day I rented the van I found out that was not true and that an additional lock had been placed on my storage unit which denied me access to my storage unit. I called U-Haul customer service and the several representatives that I spoke to were not at all helpful and not at all concerned! In short, my purpose for renting the U-Haul van to begin with was in vain as I wasn't able to accomplish what I needed to accomplish! That $15 that U-Haul demanded from me literally would have taken food from the mouth of myself and my pets to gorge U-Haul's fat! Let me please tell you something that you may not understand. I'm a wartime time veteran who as a result suffers every waking moment of every single day so that you may continue your so called free enterprise. Please understand your free enterprise was not free! Myself along with the millions of other disabled Veterans paid with our lives. Again your free enterprise was not free!

The crew at this Speedway U-Haul location exceed expectations starting with the manager Michael E! I rent lots of trucks from this location and every time I look forward to it because all these guys go the extra mile for customers and make things as hassle free as possible. They always keep their word, respect, customers and stay consistant! Rent here even if you have to drive a few extra miles! You won't regret it.

the only concern is that the key was hard to get out of the ignition. You had to turn it towards yourself to get it out.

Uhual's pricing is deceptive at best. The typical corporation generously reimburses self-moves at $0.39 a mile. Advertising the truck at $19.95 a day doesn't come close to the deal it appears when you charge per mile. Renting a full sized pick-up from Enterprise would've been cheaper.
