I rented a 15ft truck and car transport. I made the reservations three months prior to my pick up date and checked in twice to make sure of availability. The day before my move they notified me that there was not an auto transport and 15ft truck available at my designated pick up point, nor would they move the vehicles to the location I had arranged for pick up. I eventually had to take a 20ft truck. I am very unsatisfied with the Tucson UHaul experience

Kudos to uhaul for great service and keeping this nervous wreck calm. For those of us that aren't tall and have short dumpy legs, have an extra step & extra handle to hold on to when getting into cab of truck. Same for the rear of the truck. I had to ask & did receive help in closing the door because I was just a tiny bit too short. I realize it's not uhaul's fault I am short.

Overall it was a good experience. The only thing I would suggest is make sure some is available at the "return lane" when people pull up for returns.. I was returning a trailer and was concerned I would be boxed in if/when someone pulled in behind. Not the worst thing but I also thought it might be more convenient for everyone if I had just backed the trailer into the spot I picked it up from. Of course I understand each location is different and not every customer is dropping off at the original location.

There was nothing wrong with the location except that I did not reserve the truck there. I reserved it for a location on Tanque Verde, near my home. The night before my pick-up date, I was contacted by two different locations saying my truck was ready. I called the both locations and got different reasons why I couldn't get the truck from the location from which I reserved it. I was told by the 5533 E speedway store that the store I reserved the truck at didn't have pickups. I said I had rented there several times. Then the story changed to that the location I reserved at was closed and would be closed for a few days. I live very near that location I reserved at and it was not closed at all and they had a pickup truck right out front. When I went to the 5533 E speedway store to get the truck, I asked why my reservation was switched and he could not tell me. Further more he said his location was better and he could give better prices which he did not. Now, I realize that there may be a good reason for the change but nobody was able or willing to tell me what is was.



A brand new pickup and they made it easy for me to pick it up and drop off after hours.

The 17' U-Haul was really easy to maneuver with excellent brakes on a full load. I've used this location 3 times in the past 4 months and they always have what I need. They even fill propane tanks. I highly recommend this location (5533 E Speedway Blvd).

General Manager was leaning against my vehicle with his foot propped up on my vehicle. Several other workers were standing around him having a smoke break. I noticed this while I was gassing up the U-Haul at the Shell next to the U-Haul location. I set the alarm off on my car to get the general manager to stop leaning on my vehicle. At that point, the employees and the general manager started looking in the windows of my car and appeared to be touching the trunk. When I was turning into the lot, one of the employees pointed at me, and they moved away from my vehicle. After I parked and got out of the U-Haul, the general manager walked over to his car and left before he could be confronted for his actions. I walked inside, and one of the employees outside started laughing and said that I was "good to go" and didn't need to go inside. The employee inside stated that the manager had left and gave me a card for the general manager, which is when I realized the person leaning on my vehicle was the GM. All of this happened in front of the store front camera.

Be sure gas tank is really full when you give the vehicle to the customer and say it is. That wasn't the case for me. I drove just under 15 mi. in the city in a van that was supposed to get 20 mi on the highway so at least 10 in the city. To fill it, I had to put 3.5 gal. in but it should've only taken 1.5 at the most. It wasn't a lot of extra money but it's the principal of the thing.

The person I talked to when I needed to keep the uhaul an extra day was rude and nasty to me. I will try to use a different truck company in the future when moving. I don't believe people should be so rude

I was unable to log my return online. The site would not acknowledge uploading the picture of the truck's dash. So I just dropped the keys. There was a guy inside the store, as they had just closed. He told me they would check it in in the morning.

Check-in was fast and friendly. I was in and out in less than 10 min. My 15' truck had some miles on it but it ran in excellent condition. No issues with the move. Truck return was quick and they didn't try and tack on any additional fees. I like that. Good, honest employees.



your customer service representative name Steve was top noch....but then the customer representative named Laura could definitely use some people skills training. All in all most definitely would tell afriend..and another..Thank you Uhaul...

When calling Uhaul to reserve my truck, the lady who answered the phone, sounded like she was dying! she answered with a cough, and coughed during the making of the reservation, not once saying "Im sorry, please excuse my cough" The man who helped me at the Uhaul desk was very professional and courteous. It seemed a bit understaffed, only one guy out front.

Clerk was on his cell phone when I walked up and took a few moments to even acknowledge me. There was a whole lot of information about what I'm being charged or and disclosures but no Nation that is useful to a new customer. For example, the truck is being pulled up front. The clerk did not let me know that I was supposed to leave with the dolly from the lobby so I accidentally left without it. I notice the price was so high per mile I did not return for it. I can tell the vale employee had good intentions but was not vocal at all. As if he was shy to say hello, how are you or welcome back, how was everything. People don't mind paying a higher price for goods and services if the service is exceceptional or outstanding and this service was not. I called later to discuss the inconvenience the other clerk on the phone seem to not care at all. The feeling was why are you even telling me this. Your staff needs to be retrained.
