Customer service was awful even over the phone they make zero accommodations time wise and charge a totally different amount

I had a prepaid reservation for a car hauler for January 14, 2026 after speaking to U-Haul via the phone told me that I would have to go to Turlock to pick up my reservation so they informed me that I could pick it up on January 13 at 1 o’clock With no charge and 25 extra miles for having to pick it up in Turlock I arrive in Turlock on one 1326 at 1:59 PM. I prepaid my account with a total of $1233.12.but I’m told that I cannot pick up The trailer until it’s loaded completely I would have to come back to pick up the trailer so I told them I would be back the next morning 8 o’clock to pick it up. I was unable to pick up the trailer 8 o’clock January 14 at 8 AM because I had an emergency and tried to call and I was put on hold and I was in a situation where I could not stay on the phone waiting. So the next morning I called to Let them know I would be picking up the trailer and they informed me That I would have to pick it up at another location in Turlock. When I arrived at the other location in Turlock, the woman let me know that I was going to be charged $242.17 And I was confused because I told her I had prepaid my reservation for a trailer. She informed me that so creative had canceled my prepaid reservation the day before because I did not pick up the truck by 3 PM. I was never informed that there was a time limit to pick up the trailer and I was never informed that my $218 for the trailer has been refunded And that I would have to pay for the trailer and my refund would be in 5 to 7 business days so basically so creative failed to inform me refunded me without telling me this just made more stress to my move! Not to mention, they gave me a truck with a broken Driver side mirror, which is a safety hazard.! I could not use that mirror properly and safety but what choice did I have? ! I am very disappointed in U-Haul.
