The worst location. Cashier was trying to do returns and new rentals on phone while charging out people in the grocery store. Which took hours and told me to put Ket in drop box then cam running out to tell me I can’t and it was too late.

I had a very disappointing experience renting a U-Haul from the pickup location inside Kishki Halal Supermarket, 468 Albert St, Waterloo, ON. This is a supermarket location, and unfortunately U-Haul rentals seem to be treated as a secondary priority. I completed the mobile check-in in advance, expecting a quick pickup. The app clearly instructed me to collect the key from the counter and skip the line. When I arrived, there were only 2–3 customers ahead of me, yet I ended up waiting for over 1 to 1.5 hours just to receive the key. The staff member at the counter appeared unfamiliar with the U-Haul process and was focused mainly on grocery billing, which caused significant delays. I repeatedly explained that I had already completed the registration online and only needed the key, but I was not properly assisted. After a long wait, I was told to call someone else. When I did, the person on the phone said I didn’t even have a reservation — even though my app clearly showed that the truck was reserved and already dispatched. Because of this confusion and delay, I reached my destination late, which created serious issues for my plans that day. Eventually, after contacting the dedicated U-Haul pickup center at 585 Colby Dr, Waterloo, ON — where I have had good experiences before — they confirmed the truck had already been dispatched and helped resolve the issue. Only then was I finally able to get the key. On top of everything, the truck was not clean and the overall service felt very unprofessional. I strongly do not recommend picking up a U-Haul from this supermarket location. If possible, use a dedicated U-Haul center instead. This experience was extremely frustrating and deserves 0 stars.
