Constant issues and disappointment. My reservation was made 5 days prior:1 way trip within Ontario (180KM trip) so 201 KM was included - all KM after is extra. The evening before my reservation date they changed my contract ENTIRELY. Pickup AND drop off location changed, drop off date changed, mileage allowance changed from 120 MI (201KM) to 30 MI and made into a round trip. All without telling me. When I picked up the truck the location staff asked me if I wanted the safety coverage I had already booked for online, I said as much, and when I got to the truck and started the sign in it said I had NOT opted in for it. Had to have that adjusted again too. She didn’t tell me the contract had been modified with the above NOR that there was only 1/8th fuel in the tank, so I got in and immediately had to put $100 fuel, which I later found out when I called Uhaul to ask about the extra charges on my contract, was told they had applied a “fuel credit” on the contract upon pickup under the condition that I bring it back with a quarter tank - I was never told this, so I adhered to the standard returning the truck at same or more fuel levels it had upon pickup (I picked it up with 21 MI to Empty and returned it with 47 MI to empty) only to find out that the original credit was then re-charged back to my contract, along with the additional mileage from the incorrect 30MI allowance change. I had to argue with the employee on the phone to get HALF my “credit” reimbursed. Nothing except for the change of the PICKUP location was communicated to me. Extremely disappointed.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkI was in the location at 9.45 and the website was down and not working . Went to the store and they told website not working and they don't have my info and asked me to call support . Wait time.for support was 1 hour. Luckily website was up in 15 mins. I completed my reservation was told to collect the key from.store. they don't have my info and they don't have the key. Finally they figured out and gave me the key at around 10.40. But the system told I still need to return the truck by 3
vijayaraja bWtf? It’s a ten by ten supermarket managers office at the back of the the back of a grocery market. So random. The people are really nice but all they wanted was the key. They didn’t inspect the vehicle, take the mileage or ask us how it went. They didn’t look at the gas spent or replaced, which we had taken the time to do. We videoed. all that ourselves in case we get random charges. Not a great feeling leaving it like that.

Callum PWorst service ever. Extremely frustrating and disappointing experience from beginning to end. I originally booked the truck for 7:00 AM, but somehow the pickup time was changed to 9:00 AM. I tried multiple times to reschedule it but wasn’t able to, so I ended up wasting almost two hours waiting for the renter to arrive at the store. The problems continued when it was time to return the truck. We were first sent to one drop-off location, but it was completely full. Then we were sent to another location, which was also full. Finally, after driving around Toronto trying to find somewhere to return a 26-foot truck, we managed to park it at another location. To make things even worse, I was charged for extra mileage and fuel, even though I returned the truck with more fuel than it had when I picked it up. Thankfully, I took pictures of the fuel level before I started driving and again after I returned it, so I have proof. Can you imagine having to leave two kids at home and drive a 26-foot truck around Toronto close to midnight because the company couldn’t provide a proper return location? It was stressful, exhausting, and completely unacceptable. This was one of the most frustrating rental experiences I have ever had. I would never use this service again.
