Picked up the unit on 8/4/2025. I attempted to upload pictures to the app but the app wouldn’t allow it. 8/5/2025: Departed Wichita, KS at 0800 traveling to Leavenworth, KS using the Kansas Turnpike. About 20 miles into the trip, just before the Towanda Service Area, the dashboard message “Service Tire Monitor System” came on. I pulled into the service area and since I didn’t know at the time how to cycle through to get to the pressure readings on the dash, I looked at all four tires. None of the tires appeared low. I decided to call roadside assistance and after about 10 mins, I received a text stating that Strickland Road Service was on the way with an ETA of 90 mins. I asked for clarification and the reply was yes, 90 mins. The text stated, “if you want to buy a chuck and put air in the tires yourself you can do that and if the message comes on again you can call us out.” While waiting, I was able to figure out how to get the tire pressure reading on the dash. It showed 83 psi for the left front, had three dashes (---) for the right front, and 81 psi for both rear tires. Seeing how there was no pressure reading, it appeared the TPMS for that tire was inop and since the tire appeared ok, I got back on the turnpike. I wasn’t going to wait an hour and a half. About 70 miles later, I pulled into the Emporia Service Area because the right front pressure was reading 46 on the dash! There were no pressure gauges on any of the air lines so I had to buy a tire pressure gauge. I checked and the pressure read 82 psi (which was what the left front tire was as well). The pressure reading on the dash didn’t change. It stayed at 46. About 55 miles later, I pulled into the Topeka Service Area. At this time, the reading was back to the three dashes. I checked the pressure with my gauge and it read 60! I aired it up to 83 (based on the left front tire pressure) and decided to continue on. Because of these numerous stops, I didn’t make my deadline. I can only assume that this was not checked prior to me renting this unit. I would like the following questions answered. 1) Was this a replaced tire between the return rental and my rental? a. If so, was the TPMS serviced? b. If the tire wasn’t replaced, was this checked prior to rental? 2) When was the last service performed on this truck and was this part of the checks? 3) Is there documentation showing what service(s) was/were performed? 4) What is UHaul’s quality process for verifying checks and services are performed. I can’t even imagine what would have happened if that tire failed why traveling at turnpike speed with my wife following in our car and numerous semi-trailers around. What sort of catastrophe could have occurred?

MD HMake sure trucks are cleaned out lots of debris in the back. Had to sweep before loading.
BARBARA POur after hours pick up was delayed, throwing off our moving plans. It sucked and live text chat kept telling us to call the customer service line, where our call was dropped. Eventually, we got on the line and they were able to let us pick it up through the app. I would not do an after hours pick up again.
