Have equipment that you advertise available. I ordered to have a hand truck and I get there and the guy tells me there’s none available. Also they don’t inspect the vehicles the gas reported in vehicle was incorrect then when I get back sales rep ask me if the hand truck was inside I was like you told me none were available and the price was high!!

This was a terrible experience and I will be reporting it both to U-Haul as well as possibly even to the better Business bureau. After many phone calls and a price quoted at $123 flat rate, the vehicle was not prepared at the location where we were supposed to pick it up, even though we were told that it would be. We were forced to go to another location even though we had employees waiting at both locations who are being paid hourly. Costing us at least a few hundred dollars in employee fees. When we finally picked up the vehicle it had no ramp, it was not clean, and it didn't have the normal items that it has inside. By the end of the day when we return the vehicle after only a few hours of use, we were overcharged in the flat rate by approximately $50 and we were overcharged for gas at about close to $60. The vehicle had no gas when we were given the vehicle but it was returned with some gas in it. We still were charged nearly $60 for gas. Overall, an experience that was supposed to cost me a flat rate of close to $130 cost me nearly $500 in both fraudulent overcharges by the company as well as damages because of the late vehicle. when I realized the overcharges, I just really could not believe it. I called customer service and she could not get her phone to work. Half of her words were being eaten. She was actually completely and totally ill equipped to be a customer service representative. Her name was Antoinette. Not a single apology for all of the occurrences of the day. Could not get her phone to work at all throughout a 45 minute phone call where I continuously ask for a supervisor and was told over and over again that none are available. U-Haul should be ashamed of itself for this type of service. We have been regular customers. You all should consider how it will pay us back for all of these losses.
KARAN BTruck was not clean. There was cigarettes ash in the driver door. When truck was returned, person that processed returned did a mistake that caused an overcharge of close to a $1,000.
Lior PHorrible experience! Horrible from min one. Rep in office was condescending, they didn’t have ANY to offer of dollys. Rep says he 0 on hand for 3 months!!! Why was I matched here??? Customer service on the phone put me back in the queue after explaining my situation. 1/2 through my U-Haul being loaded the cable got stuck and the door wouldn’t close!! Called roadside and they came 50 min later!! Fixed it just to happen again! Luckily he showed us how to fix it, I went back to the office and after venting was told, “ ok, I’ll buy THAT story!” Was charged 18$ in gas for traveling a few miles… maybe 3! This is a horrible place and horrible experience!
Nina PPat was great. The cashier who took my information initially was horrible. The worst customer service I have ever received. I was more polite than he was. Absolutely the worst experience. He was aggressive and rude. I felt like I was bothering him giving him my business.
