The staff at this location was excellent and very helpful. The truck provided was also clean, quite new and perfect for out needs. The check in system is total crap. it took us over an hour to process the rental with multiple calls to a processing centre in the States and many text messages between the helpful staff at this location and staff at the central office. I will never again use U-Haul because of the truly terrible smartphone dependent check in and return system. I've rated the location "above average" but the check-in experience was the worst I've ever had with a rental in over 40 years.

I didn't like having to check out and check in the truck on my cell phone. It's confusing and very time consuming I also had to get help from the on-site staff.

Your “express” check in system is very very very poor and so many glitches. The poor staff at this location handled a lot of stress today with line ups out the door. If a location is strictly storage facility. Than you should NOT BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP THERE! Part of the problem! People want customer service!!! Not to be standing there trying to check in yourself on your phone ..... It took 30 mins to check in and 45-1 hour to check out.. which you consider “express” both times wouldn’t work had to get staff assistance. Absolutely Ridiculous service. The staff were fantastic and handled things very well. Had staff been allowed to just do a proper check in like any other car rental place it would be so much faster and less stressful for both staff and customers. Debating whether to ever use U-Haul again.

The initial billing was incorrect (overcharged), and was a bit labourious to correct. The staff were very helpful, but seems the Uhaul POS automation has some serious flaws in making the billing process work in the customers and attendants favour.

The changes in process to actually rent a vehicle are a little ridiculous. Making customers do the whole process from their phone, being forced to take selfies, phone calls to alternate contacts, waiting for approvals from someone in another country. Took 30 mins+ to complete rental and way too long to complete return. Overall service was good but process could be streamlined.

I don't often answer these surveys but I feel so ripped off I feel I need to do so this time. Your website said there was a van available at Abby wireless but I called Abby just to make sure and they said 'no there isn't one' and they were unsure why the website keeps saying there is. A lady called me that night and confirmed that I would be able to pick a vehicle up at hazlewood instead, which is fine. She sent me a text message confirming this. The next day I get an email saying to pick up at Abby wireless instead. Naturally, I'm going to go off the most recent communication (the email). I make my way over to Abby wireless and the employee tells me that they have no van and he doesn't know why the email was sent out. Essentially confirming what he told me the day before over the phone. I get on the phone with uhaul and after being tossed back and forth between people, I'm finally told that my van is at hazlewood again. I was at Abby wireless at 430, on time and now I have to drive across town to hazlewood, late. I make it to hazlewood and my gosh, what a frustrating process. I'm not sure why you require use of the app so much. My data was at it's limit so I had to use the clerk's phone to go through the process. He is literally sitting in front of the computer, no one in the store, why do we have to go through the app!? After the app acts up and doesn't register my photos properly, the attendee has to call his supervisor to get help. We finally get to the point where I just enter my driver's license info manually instead of pictures, it gets reviewed, and I can rent the van. Must have been at least 520 before I left. By the time I can get to the furniture store, they're near closed and cannot keep it open long enough for me to make all the trips I needed to. Now I have to come back again next week to finish the job and take more time off work. Overall, just a frustrating experience and it looks like uhaul's technology and miscommunication are the culprits.

The location itself was excellent and staff were excellent. As far as UHaul as a business it was terrible. We had to order our truck online and the app was so confusing we had to actually have the staff go onto our phone and do it for us. And returning it a couple of hours later was no better. The total kept coming up as owing $2700. The time wasted. The staff were able to fix it. It was something we never would have figured out on our own. We will not use uhaul again. Which is unfortunate as we have used you for years. And that poor staff that has to deal with this. Wow! Disappointing to say the least.

Uhaul necessitating credit card for use of pick-up truck or Van but not for the ten foot and larger cube trucks- delayed/complicated my move. Unhappy with the new way of doing things on a phone- (I am Old fashioned with carpal tunnel syndrome.) I know others who prefer not to monkey around with things we haven't and do not want to do. Worker was helpful to myself and others. location was great _ U haul new methods were a pain in the __SS. The Van was wonderful! the rear view camera a nice touch

Robin, Stephanie, Lori, and the young man (maybe Jared?) we’re great! Robin is so wonderful, patient and helpful - the first person that helped me with my reservation. Stephanie is a gem, she is calm and so positive. I would rent from this location in a heartbeat! The entire team has excellent service and I could not speak more highly of them! There were some stressful points with UHaul (One of the American phone representatives) but as for the Hazelwood location in Abbotsford they were excellent and made Moving a better experience. Thank you! Lucille

After being f##ked around by one big waste of oxygen at a different location the girl's at Hazelwood did more than they had to help me out. Highly recommend this location if you have the choice.
