U-Haul offered perfect experience except for the fact that I did not have access to all of the space in the back of the truck I rented because a giant bag and a dolly occupied a significant portion. This pre-installed zip-tied equipment in the cargo area had a sign that said I'd get charged to use or move these items. I was very put-off by this impolite attempt to force me to spend additional money on the truck, when I specifically stated I did not want to pay for any extras.

Went 15 miles but had to fill 8 gallons of gas. Clearly tank wasn't full. Instead, the manager tried to convince me it wasn't his problem. Garbage. At least lady on phone was reasonable and helped make it right.

Got hit with a $29.99 late charge for returning trailer 50 minutes late, was ever told what the required drop off time was. Should have been charged a pro-rated charge of approx $3.50 for the xtra 50 mins - charge was EXCESSIVE - Not happy....

I have rented from Uhaul 30 years. I have never rented a worse piece of equipment. When I went to turn it in the employee checking me in ignored my comments completely. That truck should never be at highway speeds again. Pure death trap

Not all customers are able to take pictures with a smart phone for identifying apparent damage before renting. Would help if UHaul would take the pictures, or allow customer to send pictures via e-mail or text. Check out application is inflexible.

When a customer is a repeat customer, you should acknowledge that. Several times during check in I mentioned that I rented a week prior as well. The agent could have cared less. He was all about business, but he should have been all about GOOD Customer service. RECOGNIZE you have a happy returning customer, don't brush it off. When I told him I already knew where I was returning the moving van too, as I was born in that town, he still pointed out the location on the paper he was presenting. NOT NEEDED, listen to your customers... Other than that, check in was hurried, and the process of agreeing to the overall condition is a little hurried. We should not be leaving the lot, without a proper check out and completion of the app. stating you agree to the conditions. And the price... You raise the price telling me that Des Moines sets the price, Which went up $75 for my next reservation. NO reward for a return customer? Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. How about a 10% discount on rentals, no matter what, for a return within 30-days customer... Thanks for listening....

My visit started off a little bit rocky, but both Justine and Lawrence worked very hard to overcome the obstacles placed before them. The computer system was down and I needed to rent a truck right then. Justine and Lawrence used their critical thinking skills and helpedbto accommodate me with the pick up truck that I needed. I was very happy that they went above and beyond to help me. At this point I wouldâ€™ve given a five star review. Unfortunately returning the truck was not as easy. When I went to return the truck, there was no one available at first. I patiently waited understanding that things can be busy. Mack the manager came out to assist me in checking in the pick up. But before he checked me in he checked a vehicle in behind me that came in after me. He told me he would get to me next which I was fine with as Iâ€™ve always had a good rapport with the staff at this facility. When he checked my bill out he said i had driven 20 miles and then he said my total bill was $61.44. Growing up at a time when math competencies were still vital to our education, the math wasnâ€™t penciling out in my head for a 24 hour rental with around 20 miles driving. When I asked Mac about this he responded that I had rented the truck for 48 hours. I then told him I hadnâ€™t have a truck for 48 hours I only rented for 24 hours. I had received my Text message from U-Haul stating the truck was due back at 10:30. Mac told me I had reserved the truck for 25 hours and I had checked the truck out at 9:30 and so I was returning 25 hours Later which would be two days. I then tried to talk out in a reasoning manner why would I wanna truck for 25 hours if itâ€™s $20 a day I would want it for 24 hours if I was going to have it for 25 hours I just as well have it for 48 hours. Mac asked To see my rental agreement which I had unfortunately left at home when I cleaned out the truck. Macklin stated we should go inside to review the contract all the while having a tone of dismay for me being there. When we got inside he pulled out a contract showing a run of the truck at 9:48 in the morning and then stating that I was returning the truck past the 24 hour. I then was able to recall in my brain that I wasnâ€™t there until after 10 oâ€™clock and I stated that the computer system was down at that point and so they had done this manually and they had even texted him about this and tried to call him but he was unavailable. Mac then did acknowledge the computer system was down but he made a point of telling me I shouldâ€™ve told him this in the very beginning because then it wouldâ€™ve been resolved and it was basically my fault for not telling him the computer system was down. Then as he was establishing a return credit onto my card I asked again about this text about being at 10:30 because I didnâ€™t understand it. He then said to me why do you keep bringing this up what what what is your problem why do you keep bringing this up Iâ€™m going to give you your money back. I stated I was

Manager was very unfriendly, also didn't have to correct trailer after they specifically told me they would have the one I needed. Very poor parking at location as well as not being eaisily accessible. Would not recommend, I reccomend going the extra 15 miles to the Boone location.
