Now the issues on the back end. When I arrived at the Ames Iowa location. There was just on person working and he was helping a customer and there were two waiting including myself. While waiting 3 more people came in so now there are 5 people waiting and one person working the counter. When I did get up to the counter the counter he said that his boss was at a meeting and left him alone. when checking in the trailer and unhooking it he told me that his boss had told him not to take in any more equipment because they were running out of room but that corporate called and said that they had to take them in. Then the computer was going to charge me another day when my paper work said returning to Ames on 8/15/17. He tried to correct it but could not and said that his boss would have to do it. He took down the information from my agreement to review with his boss and gave my nothing. Now the topper is late afternoon I get a call from someone at The Ames location asking me if I was going to return it today before they close at 7:00. I told her that I had already returned it and explained the situation with the billing and needing to have the boss correct it. This overall experience will lead me to look elsewhere in May when it is time to move my son home from ISU. I am very unsatisfied.

I wish there was clarification of the fees associated with,the advertised cost like the folly rental few and the mileage is from the minute you leave the lot instead of the 2 locations

Hunter and his crew are phenomenal! To have a staff of two personnel and a line of customers waiting, they did an outstanding job receiving and issuing equipment, installing hitches, and giving access to customers with u-boxes. This was my second time in 4 months visiting this location, and they are always busy while providing phenomenal customer service. Give them a raise and/or additional personnel; they deserve it.

Did not have our ordered dolly available. They gave us an appliance dolly which was useless for our move and just added extra cost and weight to carry across the country.

Some things were very good: The initial person who rented the Van to me, was helpful and efficient. Some things were not so good: The person who checked the Van in, upon return, was unfriendly and lacked customer handling skills; Second, the $19.95 price soon became much higher with collision insurance and the gas; U-Haul charged $80 for what turned out to be a $40 expense; the excess $40 to be credited back to me, but this is not an immediate credit, thus, an inherently dishonest business practice.

A location with easier access would be the only improvement I would suggest. Duff is too busy a street for this kind of service. Otherwise the experience was excellent.

The staff was very helpful during the reservation process a week before we needed the rental. And were very professional and welcoming during both trips (reservation process and pickup process). Best experience yet.

Had to return truck before 8AM. I ended up having to move all of my things out into my backyard, unsecured on the day before the move. Basically spent and extra $50 on tarps and duct tape to cover my things, including furniture which i did not want outside. Customer service wasn't able to do anything for me. Won't be using uhaul again.

These guys were absolutely the BEST to work with! Very pleasant, helpful, courteous, and friendly! I am in customer service myself and this location showed me how great customer service is done! No question the best customer service experience I've ever had in my 53 years! Cannot recommend them high enough!

Pick up time on the app was 10:30am, but when I got there, the stuff told me the time should be 8am. Because of this, I have to move everything in a rush to be able to return the truck by 1:30pm.

You lost a long time customer because of a policy you have where anyone who picks up the item can change the agreement without the person who is paying having any idea of any changes done.

Your self check-out is a little wonky. There isn't much on the website or app that explains what the self check-out process is like, so I was very confused. Also, after returning the truck, the next day I got 4 emails showing me my bill, but they were all wrong. Not until 2 hours after I got the first 4 emails, I got a 5TH email that had a different bill. Please fix this issue! Your service was great and very helpful, but there is a lot of room for improvement :)

On-line scheduling needs improvement. The employees at the actual location spend an inordinate amount of time rescheduling so that all requests are met. This opinion is based on the 3 times they had to call me to reschedule our rental time frame. This subsequently caused grief for me because we'd also lined up movers thru the uhaul site & I had to reschedule them multiple times as well as ensure that my mom's new apartment would be available at the same time. The people at the actual location were great & handled a huge moving day in Ames very professionally!

I reserved online from 10am till 6pm, got a call from location and told me that I could only use for a 4 hour window, 8 to noon but told them that wouldn't work so they were going to see what they could do and call me back, never heard anything back so called them and they said I could get from 1:30-5:30 which still didn't work and then told me I could get a 27' truck but would be from 8:45-12:45 which worked better but was still was an inconvenience for me but needed. They should have gotten another vehicle for me since I rented it for a certain time plus I paid a daily rate but was only allowed to use for 4 hours but didn't get a prorated rate.
