Timia BThe store owner has a literal assault rifle behind a bullet proof glass barrier. It was bad enough picking up but when I tried to drop off I honestly felt scared and threatened by the loitering people and customer who held the door closed while I tried to enter to intimidate me. That is a very dangerous area and I would never recommend it to others
Travis MIf you're at this stage, stop what you are doing and just use Penske and their services. I have used self-check-ins with Penske before, and I have been able to check in/out within 15min or less. At almost every stage of this process, the U-haul service has been disappointing. I requested an in-person service at this location, and this location clearly doesn't offer it. The man behind the desk told me to follow the self check-in instructions even though I requested in person service. The self check-in instructions barely worked and the app was unfunctional at key points in the process. First, it did not show me a button to "Pick up your truck rental", and I had to call to have that option turned on. I'm not sure why this didn't show up for me at first, but it took 30min of calling to figure that out. Second, I asked for a dolly, and they didn't have one onsite. He was nice enough to tell me that they didn't have one and Uhaul took it off my order, but that is a basic check that should be executed better. When I was attempting to return the truck, I attempted to upload my photos and after about 7 attempts, I could never get their app to accept my return photos. Again, I had to call someone, and manually submit my photos through email. Do better Uhaul.
