If you're at this stage, stop what you are doing and just use Penske and their services. I have used self-check-ins with Penske before, and I have been able to check in/out within 15min or less. At almost every stage of this process, the U-haul service has been disappointing. I requested an in-person service at this location, and this location clearly doesn't offer it. The man behind the desk told me to follow the self check-in instructions even though I requested in person service. The self check-in instructions barely worked and the app was unfunctional at key points in the process. First, it did not show me a button to "Pick up your truck rental", and I had to call to have that option turned on. I'm not sure why this didn't show up for me at first, but it took 30min of calling to figure that out. Second, I asked for a dolly, and they didn't have one onsite. He was nice enough to tell me that they didn't have one and Uhaul took it off my order, but that is a basic check that should be executed better. When I was attempting to return the truck, I attempted to upload my photos and after about 7 attempts, I could never get their app to accept my return photos. Again, I had to call someone, and manually submit my photos through email. Do better Uhaul.

We will be disputing this charge. We had to go to 3 different locations to get this truck, after having made and confirming our reservation. It seems U-Haul is incapable of holding a reservation. The first location told us verbally over the phone that our vehicle was ready, then said they only had round trip trucks available. They sent us to a second location (northside). When we arrived there, the attendant was nowhere to be found. After waiting 20+ minutes, he showed up and told us no trucks were available, and they they only hold them for 30 minutes. (The reservation was made 45 minutes prior, by U-Haul, and we sat there until the attendant showed up.) The third location would not give us a truck until we pulled up a 4-digit number on the mobile app. We did not have, nor reserve using the mobile app - U-Haul did. Further, there was no service. On top of the massive inconvenience and lost hours going through this process, the price increased significantly at each stop. Again, we will be disputing this charge and leaving feedback everywhere we can find. Piss-poor service and a great waste of time. Even the owner at our drop off location acknowledged this. Will never do business with U-Haul again.
Nicholas PThere was no WiFi the attendant couldn’t speak English I would never recommend the location to anyone. There were people having the same issues it put me behind in my move I had to pay additional money that I didn’t have U-Haul should shut down that location…
