Person taking the reservation over the telephone failed to inform me that a second piece of identification was required to pick up the vehicle. Having to go get that ID added unnecessary stress to an already stressful day.

I made a 2 day reservation and they didn’t honor that agreement and could only give me 1 day!!!! Horrible customer service, total bull shit. I asked the employee working their on the Sunday I returned it and he said “it happens all the time” and that “it was above his pay grade”. This is literally the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced ever.

I booked my reservation through the 1-800 number. When I arrived at the pick up location, I was surprised to find out that first time renters must present a second form of ID in addition to their Driver's License; however, the list did not include types of ID that one normally carries around. One option was to leave your original car registration (not a copy.) Now you're left driving a car around without registration (in the event that anything happened). The other problem with this is that I was helping my daughter move so I was driving her car, but I rented the U-Haul which of course was in my name. It would have been nice to have been informed of this policy at the time that the reservation was made since all of the movers were already in place and waiting for me. Thankfully the P'Tree Rd location allowed me to leave my daughter's car registration (in place of my own) and still rent the truck in my name. I recommend making sure that the "1-800" people are aware of any nuances that may exist with the particular location that they refer you to. The experience was otherwise okay.

Was so much easier than renting a car. Staff was pleasant. Waiting time was minimal. Process for dropping off the van couldn't be easier. I especially liked the guide for filling up the van - was nice to not have to aimlessly guess at how much gas to put in. I'll definitely use U-Haul again the next time I have to move.

I rate customer service below extremely poor. I was forced to purchase a defective item for rental approval. Not only will I never visit this location, I will never conduct business with U-haul in the future. The company is substandard, a rip off and fraudulent.

The truck wouldn't start and we got stranded in Midtown. When a called customer service/roadside assistance they hung up on me after a 30 minute hold. Then I called the local branch in Brookhaven and was told they couldn't help and that I should call roadside assistance back.

Although the young man who checked me in was nice and courteous, he inadvertantly assigned me to a vehicle that was different than what was on the paperwork. I realized about an hour later because the mileage and the gas was different than what was on the paperwork. I called the office for the change to be made and so that I wouldn't be asked to pay for more than I was supposed to. Then another issue was the condition of the van. At first sight it appeared oaky, but after driving away, I noticed there was trash under the seat and the truck smelled like body odor embedded in the passanger seat. It smelled so bad that I had to purchase Febreeze to contain the odor for the remainder of my rental time. Disgusting! I'm sure that if the van had been fully inspected before renting to me, that it would've been noticed.

The rental process was non-typical. I was required to provide and leave my vehicle registration during the rental and when I returned it took the clerk several minutes to locate my vehicle registration to return to me. I rented from another Atlanta location the prior week and they did not follow this process.
