Let customers know ahead of time that they will need 2 people you can call as references before doing online pickup. That was unexpected, annoying and caused a delay. Also why do you keep saying “families” in your rental descriptions? Not every customer is renting as a family and moving can be a particularly difficult time for what may no longer be a family. It's just weird.

I'm being charged a wrong location fee for no reason when the address given was the very location the truck was droppped off at

Couple of things were wrong: -The location did not have all of the equipment I had reserved. They seemed to struggle to find a solution to the problem, and they finally sent me to another location to pick up the difference, which I was ok doing. Now, the location they sent me to was purely a storage facility, and there was nobody there (it was a saturday), so it made the whole thing very inconvenient. I gave up and we moved our furniture without the furniture dolly. -The Uhaul was dirty on the inside. I refused to clean someone else's dirty napkins and I returned it just like I found it. -On the survey you're sending out, your Spanish is all off. The survey says 'Click aqui para escribir una experiencia,' which literally makes no sense. You should change that to 'Haga click aquí para dejar una reseña' or 'Haga lick aquí para calificar su experiencia.' The first one sounds better but the second one is more in like with the English translation. I hate it when companies pretend like they're trying to reach Spanish speakers. If you're going to do it, do it right. -What you all have to understand is that moving is a shitty experience overall. It makes it 100 percent worst when your planning goes down the drain because the location is not ready with your reservation. They couldn't even walk me out to find the right uhaul (I had to test keys and guess). It's mediocre service, which is a shame because as a company you all have a huge opportunity to improve the mood of your users, to make them feel better.


the attendant couldn't speak much english. when i declined all insurance coverage, as I had already done when reserving online, he nodded in agreement. he also said not to worry about the dents and scratches and didn't let me document them ( i took photos as evidence anyway). while checking my credit card statement i find out later I was charged an additional $56 for insurance. leaves a very sleazy impression. buyer beware.

I felt a little hijacked by the added insurance charge, 25% of the cost of "renting" the unit, according to the web site. You should be more transparent about that. Great customer service though.

Indecline safe move coverage on reservation.. on check out.. no one there has deal with uhaul as it is not an uhaul place.. and charge me for the safe move expenses. The guy at duval said he is new working at the market and do not know what to do.

Make sure the tank is filled up all the way. I was given less gas than stated and had to pay more than what I consumed. Just not fair.

Online I was told it would cost $45 in my quote that I had. Then in store that morning I was told it would cost $54. At the end of the day, I was charged $76 when I only drove it for $6 worth of gas according to the receipt. Huge rip off and would never do again or recommend to anybody. Such a waste.

Have everyone trained to deal with Uhaul things, not just the manager. I needed an extension, the store manager had left, and the man answering the phone didn't know how to do it or when his manager would be back, or even if he'd be back before my time was up. Thankfully Uhaul customer support was able to help me.

I originally requested my Pickup Location to be "Breed & Co." on 29th Street. The website allowed me to reserve my rental (one-way) there. When I arrived I was told that the truck was a "back and forth" truck and stayed at that site. I was directed to Duval Market. The clerk in the market could not communicate and could not complete the transaction. Luckily the proprietor arrived and was able to complete the rental. Had he not shown up I would have had to go elsewhere. Overall the rental was a success but getting the truck was somewhat of an "adventure".
