it's currently, high traffic moving season in/from ATX... and the staff were so beyond amazing to me earlier today. they even let me leave to go put cash back on my card and return(6:08PM - Close @ 7:00P.M.), as, I was initially attempting to pay with cash (didn't know about hold/it's easier to apply via card/electronic return of funds after satisfying mileage estimate). Super friendly, even made pretty funny jokes.. will rent from when needed... as well my 10 truck for 1x1 apartment/studio = perfectly accommodated my needs. No issue what so ever. So thankful! :)

The young man who checked us in deserves special recognition. He had been working out in the rain all day and he still took care of me with a smile. Even though his new @200 athletic shoes had been ruined. The traffic around that location makes it tricky to get in and out. Some better signage regarding in & out lanes would have helped

This facility was very helpful when I made my reservation -- really appreciated the ease of doing that in person with them. For drop-off, they were efficient and pleasant -- all good. Our experience with UHaul for this move was excellent and a good value.

At drop off I was told, everything looked good and I would get an email receipt. Never got a receipt and when I asked for one it came with a gas charge even though I have a receipt for enough gas for 10 miles per gallon. Appears just to be a tactic to get more money. That is just wrong and not very honest for a few bucks.

Be prepared to wait if you are picking up or dropping off on Saturday. They were busy and only had 3 people working, but they were running in and out helping people. I think it would help if they had a dedicated person or persons working at the desk.

Wait, what about the corporate experience? Since I had reserved weeks in advance, I called the location I had chosen for pickup on Thursday before the Sat pickup. They confirmed everything was set. THEN CORPORATE called me minutes later and told me to pick up at the Uvalde Market location instead. So I got to that location on Sat, and they didn't have a trailer. They sent me back to the original location on Lamar. This fiasco cost me almost 45 minutes in my tightly scheduled day, and it's all CORPORATE's fault. The guy at Lamar shook his head and told me that this happens ALL THE TIME. This is not a way to keep customers happy. Maybe this review box should include a whole section on the people in the sky, not just the locations on the ground.

One staff member was extremely rude! We pulled up to the location and got out of the car to greet the staff. Before I was even outside truck your hipster Uhaul attendant barked at us to "STAY IN THE CAR". After directing us forward and working on the trailer we tried to make light of the awkward encounter by saying "sorry for being those jerks to pull up here as soon as it starts raining". Your attendant just rolls his eyes and agrees with us with a "yeah". After explaining that we left the dolly and equipment in the trailer he tells us to "go" without a thank you, have a nice day or anything. We were in such a good mood to arrive in our new city and really confused to be met with such an angry and rude person. Welcome to Austin I guess.

I wish I had the names of the two guys who helped us because they both did an outstanding job of helping us. I believe it is very easy to make a complaint when things don't go well so I usually make a point of asking for a managers name to give a compliment to those who give service beyond expectations, as these guys did. I was more than satisfied with the knowledge, willingness to help and ease with which we concluded our transaction. Credit to two employees who are assets to the U-Haul brand.

It was very busy when I arrived for my trailer, and there were only two agents handling the load. They were both doing a good job and apologized for the wait, which is due to a very busy time of the year. Since these busy time are quite predictable, maybe they should hire some extra help to make it go more smoothly.

I rented a U-Haul truck for a move this past weekend, and experienced the worst service that I have had at U-Haul or any other car rental services. I placed my original order online for a 10' truck a week before the move. The day before the move, I received a call from U-Haul that the truck is no longer available and all I can get is a cargo van. This is disappointing but not too big of a deal, so I agreed. The next morning when I went to pick up the van, I was informed the pickup location is also changed. This was very irritating as I have just walked 25 min under the Austin sun, and do not have a easy way to get around. What made the experience even worse was that the U-Haul attendant whom I called was very rude and blamed me for missing his instructions about the location change the night before. While he may have said something about the location change the night before, the call quality was poor and I did not receive any email message to clarify the location change. Without better options, I took a taxi to the new location to pick up the cargo van. The same attendant was also rude and almost robotic in person, and ignored me when I tried to make some friendly conversation to ease the mood. The cargo van itself was pretty good, but he did not include a hand cart which I requested in my online order. After the move (which went pretty smoothly), I returned the van and noticed that I was charged $50 extra. This is because the attendants misread the odometer and charged me for an extra 100 miles! I brought this point to the attendants and changed my receipt to reflect the updated charges. However, when I checked my credit card statement today (Monday), it still showed the previous incorrect charge, PLUS the correct charge, PLUS ANOTHER charge for $70 that was APPLIED TO MY CARD TODAY! I called customer service to ask about the charges, and was told there's pending credit for the original overcharge, but no explanation for the $70 charge posted to my card today. I was also called a "Ma'am" (I'm a guy)... Overall, the entire experience was extremely frustrating and humiliating. I feel that the service representatives at this U-Haul did not have the least care about their customers or their jobs. I really hope someone will read this, either someone at U-Haul who can do something to improve their services, or someone who is renting a truck to avoid this place at all costs.
