Would be nice if when you set up to pick up a truck it would be actually they’re in a different location and I understand that sometimes things happen now they’re out of our control but a phone call to let me know ahead of time what is it nice. Drew was a great resource at this location. He was smart and customer-focused. I dealt with Mark when I actually got the truck. I asked him a couple of questions. To one he answered that he did not know - he hadn’t been there that long and deferred to Drew who was helping another customer. The other question was also referred to Drew. When the truck was ready, he just gave me the key. When I asked how to move the mirrors, he acted like it was a big deal to help me - just turned the mirror back and forth and walked away. Drew = ?? Mark = ?? I’ve rented a lot of U-Haul trucks. Mark is not doing your business any favors!

Overall upset not with this location but with the way my reservation was handled. I had set up a reservation for the Uhaul at I35 and Airport and they did not have my reservation, and they did not bother to try to assist me. Instead they told me that I personally had changed the address which was not true. I remembered the guarantee that Uhaul has and called customer service. When I called customer service the first representative ,Rochelle, mention that I qualified for the $50 guarantee since the first location never called to inform me that the address was changed. I was then transferred to another individual to process the refund and on top of saying that I was not eligible since I didn’t receive a call he also provided poor customer service and also did not offer any recompense due to the lack of communication on their Uhaul locations. So then what’s the point in making an online reservation in advance if Uhaul doesn’t call to confirm because apparently the email confirmation that I received was not enough of a confirmation. Definitely upset with the first Uhaul for their attitude and failure to attempt the provide a solution. Furthermore upset with the lack of communication and not upholding their “guarantees”.

This experience was the worst. It seems the folks in Austin had a truck they *really* wanted to get rid of - by me taking it to Houston. Also, I reserved a 10' box truck, but it was somehow "not available" (though there were several on the lot). The "upgrade" to 15' was no favor to me, as it cost $75 in gas to get from Austin to Houston. Plus, I did not want a huge truck, as it's a PITA to drive.

I think your customer reps were polite and helpful in answering my questions, but I do wish they had accompanied me to the truck. Maybe they were not supposed to leave the desk but there was noone else there but me and showing me quickly where the hand break is and such would have made it nicer. Also waive the per mile fee for the first some miles -- it is ludicrous nickel and diming.

It would be nice to receive an email reminder 24 hours prior to picking up a vehicle on a Sunday morning before 9am for a lock box, letting you know that you actually have to register prior to getting into your lock box to then get a lock code sent to you. I went at 7am and looked at my email confirmation and had no code for lock box. Had to make an extra trip and come back at 9am and it started my entire day late. the app needs to be linked with the registration lock portion it isn't and you have to access on a lap top or computer not through the app?
