Alternator was out and truck had to have battery jumped off every time we stopped to eat or gas up. Miserable!

Jo Ann R. on

Friendly and knowledgeable personnel at the location was very helpful especially Seth who explained all the details.

The general manager didn't acknowledge us when we walked in. Ignored us so we just stood there when we really needed to get moving. Wouldn't tell us where to park, just to move our car. Finally let us pick up the van we had reserved online. Will use U-Haul in the future, but definitely another location.

The staff were very organized and quick to help. I do not see anything to comment about on improving. Give them all a pat on the back or a bonus!

My pick-up location provided me with several drop off location options. The first one I went to was Breed & Co which is a hardware store. The man who came to the counter after I waited for 5 minutes told me that this location did not accept drop offs, and that I was one of many that had tried to drop equipment that day. He was very abrupt and not helpful. I asked where I could go to drop it off, he told me of two places, but not being familiar with Austin, I had no idea where they were, and he did not provide directions. My automobile's navigation directed me to the N. Lamar store, which was a large facility. I recommend that U-Haul pull Breed's contract because this location represents you very poorly

Very fast check in

Vehicle had trouble starting in the morning (low battery maybe?); person at uhaul front-desk had told me about roadside assistance, so that calmed me some. But, I'm afraid for the next customer that has trouble. If y'all test your batteries regularly in a way that actually detects failures and prevents the need for roadside assistance, then there's probably nothing to worry about. Honestly, I find the need to fill up the gas a bit nickel and dimey. There's already a per-mile charge -- wouldn't it make sense to include gas (which is very highly correlated to miles driven) as part of that? The main issue is that it's hard enough to drive a larger truck -- we don't really need to add destinations to the list :P

Have the equipment that was reserved available and act like you care about your customers just a little. Dismal experience

Personnel very helpful, efficient, and responsive. The only problem I encountered was using the "mobile pick up" system. Personnel were helpful, but system did not work. I was shifted to this location and all went well.

When I picked up the van, the young man who helped me offered superior customer service. When I returned the van, the young lady tried to over charge me, but eventually got it right.
