Employee couldn’t have been less interested in any customer. Rude, condescending and annoyed that his lunch was interrupted. Answers to questions were snide, and sometimes downright rude. Reserved a 10ft truck and got a 15 ft truck. So much for equipment guarantees.

Wanted to rent from Uhaul that was 1 mile away from me. Went into the physical location and did a reservation. I received no email or text that my location had changed. The new location was 7 miles away from old location. This is unacceptable for a business to run this way. Then I made a reservation for 12-6pm. And the sales rep at the Lamar location said he would extend my time to 7pm. The paperwork said 5 pm. So I get a phone call at 5:30. Asking me rudely where the truck is. Unacceptable again. This was a horrible experience with uhaul. Cost me extra time, mileage, money, and frustration. Will not rent from uhaul again.

Attendant barely looked up when I drove in. I went inside and he seemed to be emailing or something rather than greeting me. His attitude was anything but welcoming. A big contrast to the folks at the pick up point.

The second time in a row that the back was not swept, the gas gauge vs. the reported amount was incorrect, and previous moving blankets were in the cab and back the time before my last rental. I am by the books, and after traveling 16 miles, I put 3 gallons of gas in. Upon arrival yesterday, the rep said that the gas was below, and he was charging me an additional $8 and change. I told him that I had just put in 3 gallons to replenish the 16 miles of use. He responded that it’s in the contract. This is not an acceptable way to handle business. I feel that I wasted my time at the pump, and left extremely upset. It’s not the $ as much as the principal. Improve documentation of fuel gauge accuracy, and don’t rent a dirty truck and then hit up the customer for gas they did not use.

The Associate, Eric, helped us ensure that we would have a secure car dolly attached to our truck. We were very appreciative that since we showed up near closing time, Eric did not have an issue with assisting us.

I returned the truck and told the general manager. His name was Ryan Rositas what the problem was and he was rude and was talking over me. I called to report the problem and never got a response. I have always used uhaul in the past. I've used them about 4 or 5 times in the past 4 years because I'm constantly moving for work. I will never go back to uhaul. I will take my business elsewhere.

The man who took my reservation, Eric Vredenburgh, went above and beyond my expectations. He increased the number of days in my contract and did not charge extra. This allowed me two rest days along the 2,600 mile route. I suspect that he made an effort to get the best available 26’ truck for my trip, because it was new, clean and ran smoothly. He also gave me some extra miles allowing me to go to more desirable towns to spend the night. He gave us tips on driving and the use of mirrors. Eric’s friendly follow through felt like a good omen, and boosted my spirits for the long trip ahead of us. Thank you, uhaul & thank you, Eric!
