I rented a 10ft box truck. Upon leaving the lot, I informed the store personnel that the check engine light was on. I was told they were aware of it. The vehicle got terrible gas mileage (5 mpg) and the transmission slipped at times.

The woman who checked in this reservation was very rude and didn't provide us with a dolly that we requested on the original reservation. We reported this to U-Haul on pick-up, and the reservation was never updated to say we never received one. I will never rent from U-Haul again.

Charged for EZ gas when we had just put 18 bucks worth back in. It's nearly impossible to see where "5/8" tank is and UHAUL probably does this on purpose to overcharge you.

Dear U-Haul, You have made a lot of progress in the last few years. Your investment in technology is evident. I would suggest that you invest more in training for your behind-the-counter folks. I returned my trailer on time and was told that I did not need to give any paperwork or sign anything and that I was "good" which I took to mean that the person would complete my return by updating your records to reflect that I held up my part of the bargain. That was not the case and only after 2 texts, numerous phone calls from me to you and a phone call from the place where I rented the trailer asking if I had returned it did I finally get this notice that the trailer had been returned. I was not charged anything for your inability to complete my return so at least you got that right. But I do not think that is good service, You should discount my next rental for the hour of time I spent getting you to do your job. My rate is $275 per hour. Sincerely, Charles R. Provide more free miles for returning equipment to locations that UHAUL select for returning equipment. I ended up paying for 5 miles when UHAUL selected the return location.

The staff was rude and unfriendly. We did not have a reservation at first and were told rudely that she was only doing reservations. She did not imply that a vehicle would be available later in the day as we found out when we called the 800 number. She was just as rude when we returned with the reservations. Upon bringing back the vehicle, they were simple unfriendly. They have NO sense of customer service. We had the sense it was a black-white issue. We are white. Every other customer and employee were black. It was just too obvious.

when we showed up to drop off the trailer then employees were not helpful and basically told us to drop the trailer off in an empty lot but did not come to assist in any way. very unorganized.

Horrible Experience. My husband picked up the truck on Sunday AM around 10:00. The rep said the tank was full and ready to go. My husband pulled away and the tank was at less than a 1/4 tank. We returned the truck around 5:15 and dropped the keys in the drop box. The next day I look at my bank account and noticed they charged us for TWO days of rental , TWO days of insurance and a charge for gas. My husband put gas in the tank before returning truck up to the 1/4 mark. Needless to say, we're EXTREMELY upset with our rental experience. I tried contacting location 6-7 times on Monday to discuss and get a refund for these fees, its been 24 hours and I haven't heard anything. Never received a call back We will NEVER rent a U-HAUL truck again!!!!!!!!!!!

They did not have the full sized dolly as requested, though they gave us a smaller furniture dolly instead. The front desk rep was on what seemed to be a personal call for about 5 minutes before assisting guests and was not very professional.

Teara was great. She gave me a warm professional greetings. She continue with pleasant conversation regarding my move and the weather. On returning the truck, she remember me and address me by name. She inquired if I was finish moving. In a joking matter, I replied she and her team members can move the rest my clothes to my new residence. We all laughed and Teara and her team members stated you have a wonder day Mr.Smith. Teara invited to return, if I needed to rent a truck for moving services. A brief tutorial on how a gigantic rental truck should be given to drivers unfamiliar with handling large vehicles. Simply handing over the keys and guessing that they will figure it out somehow is probably not the best idea.
