Please have U-Haul employees double check that customer wants to purchase Safe Move coverage. I was charged for it ($16) on the day I picked up the truck (8/31/26) even though my original online rental agreement dated 8/1/26 excluded this charge and after telling the attendant I did not want the coverage.

Plus they charged me $14 for a dolly I did not have.
Jeff CHello, Upon picking up this truck, the gas tank was completely empty. We had to pay $90 to fill up the tank. I find that completely inappropriate and unethical. Additionally, the left side mirror of the vehicle (driver side) was not stable and continued to shift and not stay in place while driving the truck, making the drive to the pickup location difficult as we had to stop multiple times to fix the mirror. This is not satisfactory nor safe, and made the trip with the truck extremely difficult on the highway.
Jasmine CPick up location was unbelievably bad. Gas station attendant told me I had to clear anyone sleeping in the truck out. There was a homeless man sleeping in back of truck with uncapped drug needles strewn about on floor of truck. Other U-Haul trucks parked there had backs open with people in them-drug needles were everywhere on the sidewalk. Truly disgusting
KENNETH CThe drop-off location is at a gas station, and there were several homeless individuals hanging around the U-Haul trucks. I became concerned that someone might get into the back of the truck I returned because I noticed that the other trucks on the lot had locks on them, while mine did not. As I was leaving, a homeless gentleman approached me and asked for money to buy food for himself and his dog. During our conversation, he mentioned that they lived in the back of a truck and pointed toward the U-Haul trucks. I assumed he was referring to one of the trucks parked on the lot. This made me even more concerned about the security of the truck I had just returned and the belongings inside.
