I had a great experience especially with the last minute changes in our end. The customer service was beyond my expectations. Definitely will use this company again.TONI B.

Did not even go in the building, gentlemen came out to meet me. Was helpful and had nothing for me to do! Was very easy.WENDYL M.
Was told by a U-Haul Rep that automated pick up was available and the unit could be picked up before the location opened. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE AND THE EMPLOYEE WAS LATE ARRIVING TO OPEN. This set me nearly two hours behind schedule as I was paying a crew movers to sit and wait!lawrence N.
I don't believe it is the fault of the location that I picked up the truck from. I would not like to rate them badly. Checking in and getting the truck was easy but my customer service with UHaul specifically after that was unsatisfactoryMAURY H.
My UHaul experience was the worst moving truck rental I've ever experienced. I made my reservation 3 weeks in advance for a 15' box van, double axle trailer and a dozen blankets. Price was very good. I was supposed to get a confirming phone call 24 hours in advance - that didn't happen. About an hour before my rental pickup, I was inundated with 13 emails and text messages telling me that not only was my box van not available for pickup at my requested location, but, neither was my auto transport! This was overwhelming information. There was no way I could go through the thousands of words in those documents in 1 hour. UHaul expected me to do the work that I paid them to do and to drive to 2 different locations, MILES away from my preferred pickup, to get the box van and auto transport. Not only that, but, UHaul wanted me to pick up the box van AFTER hours, which I had never done before, and, I was very hesitant to do this. I called UHaul and was on hold for 35 minutes, then got a recorded message of an electronic phone problem and they hung up on me. I called again. This time I was able to talk to a person and complain. UHaul responded that they didn't have the manpower to find and move the box van and auto transport to my preferred location. While I understood this, that is not my problem and is extremely unprofessional, misleading, rude, and is taking advantage of customers getting them to do your work (opportunism). That is UHaul's problem and responsibility. The owner of the rental location for my box van had a family emergency at that time which prevented him from following through on UHaul's box van preparation request for after hours pickup. He was able to pass this duty to his regional operation's manager who met me at the new location (remember, the one miles and miles away from my preferred pickup which UHaul changed), cut a key for me since the owner had a family emergency and couldn't prepare the box van, and, had to leave the facility office locked preventing us from getting the keys. This ops manager was very helpful. I did not receive any blankets because the ops manager couldn't get into the locked office facility.. Next, I had to drive miles and miles from the previous location which was also miles and miles from my preferred pickup to a seedy part of town to pick up the double axle auto transport. This went well but that location didn't have any blankets either. I went home extremely ticked off and UHaul abused. My move was in 2 days which was a good move on my part to give me an extra day to handle any crises, which there were many. The next day I called 8 UHaul locations trying to locate my blankets. None were available. One nice lady at location #8 said that she would call "traffic" for me to get them to find my blankets and that I should be contacted in an hour. While I'm convinced that she did what she said she would do, I never got a call back from UHaul "traffic" - more negligence. I ended up having to spend $180 to buy 8 new moving blankets from Lowes which I wasn't planning on having to buy. By now, I'm done with UHaul and just wanting to get through my 1400 mile move over the next 3 days in a box van with NO cruise control. UHaul - you need to come to grips with the truth that driving with no cruise control has equal risks with driving with cruise control. You need to get your lawyers to get in a box van and drive for 10 to 12 hours with no cruise control and see how dangerous the driving gets due to foot fatigue. What a bunch of idiots! Also, I counted up the emails and text messages with overwhelming amounts of information to read. All in all, I had 22 emails and 6 text messages related to this rental. This is just stupid. The emails and text messages need to be few, and, to the point, or don't send them because their contents are overwhelming! I hope this comment helps others with their decision making on their next moving truck rental. I don't expect UHaul to change since they've been able to deceive their customers and use them to do their work.Milton W.
