I don't know that this was specific to the location or rather the scheduling department, but I received three different text messages the day before I was to pick up my rental with two different times and three different pickup locations. This was problematic first because I had scheduled movers through Uhaul based on my pick-up preference and luckily I was able to reschedule the movers but this was not taken into account. In addition, the pickup location was over 30 minutes away from my location. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I spoke with the ladies at the front desk, making sure that someone could assist me with the vehicle tow dolly as I would be moving by myself and didn't have any one to help me. I also informed them that I would have to leave my personal vehicle at the Uhual store until I was able to attach it to the truck with their help. They were very agreeable, however when I returned to have the tow installed in the Uhaul truck they informed me that they did not have a tow, despite the 10 minute conversation that morning in which I specifically asked them about install the tow on the truck. I think had to drive back to North Birmingham, a 25 minute drive to pick up the tow from a different Uhaul store, drive back to the location I picked up my truck in order to have my personal car put on the tow as I didn't have anyone that could drive my car to the second Uhaul location. Not only did this require that I spend more than 2 hrs driving back and forth to Uhauls to fix this error, it also cost me fuel and mileage. While I understand that the ladies at the Pelham Uhaul location were not responsible for the error, the fact that it happened at all is unacceptable. Uhaul should not reschedule pick up locations that do not have all the requested equipment and there should be a service to transport equipment to other uhaul locations if an error is made so that customers are not responsible for the errors that were made by Uhaul.Wesli T.

We were charged $25 for gas. We got in the truck with the gas light on and paid for our gas. When we turned it in we showed a gas charge of $25. I was not told about this at anytime. Otherwise everything was fine.CHRISTY C.

I ended up needing to change to a different size tongue. That required I buy a new ball that they improperly installed. Luckily my son noticed it was coming loose before we lost the trailer and caused problems on the interstate. After 2.5 hours waiting for roadside assistance, we were finally given a room and a meal.Terry T.
The after hours drop off process and the double payment hold on customer's account. I was charged a total amount and another amount is pending (which should NOT because of completed payment w/receipt), thus causing my !account to overdraw.Elbony W.

Provide local numbers for contact. I had to wait an average of 40+ minutes. to speak with someone and it went to a national line. For every call, and some went unanswered after an hour! Your customer service via the phone is deplorable. While I was in two separate locations people cam e in desperate because the original rental had been rented and nobody would answer the phone at the location. It takes far less time to drive to the location than wait on the phone, that is ridiculously bad service!JOSEPH B.

Get people to work that know how to do there job, I was billed for a two day rental and I only had the truck for 4 hrs very up set , clerk didn't know how to correct the error now I have to Waite until Monday to talk to a boss so I can get my money back, at first she didn't want to give me a recite.....ðŸ‘ŽCynthia H.

Jorge who I chatted with when I attempted to pickup a reserved U-Haul at 1:00 am was very unhelpful. This is in reference to reservation # 27442838. He was extremely unprofessional and unsympathetic. It isn't easy to go and pick up a truck at that time of night. I had to take an Uber there and back. It delayed my ability to begin packing up my things. It was a very bad experience. He told me that the location wasn't a 24/7 location. However, online did not reflect that. All he told me was I can't pick up that truck. He did mention that I agreed to be contacted by someone in the event that I was unable to pick up that truck but I was never contacted. He has no business in a Customer service role. If I was able to find a different company to pick up a truck from in a timely manner other than U-Haul I would've because of how terrible that experience was. I don't know if I have ever had someone speak/type to me the way that he did. That was absolutely unacceptableAaron O.
I don't know what you pay her, but its not enough! During our visit another customer dropped off a 26' truck turned it off and hopped in what appeared to be an uber! Apparently he didn't put in in park so it began rolling backwards towards the busy street. She dropped what she was doing and ran and jumped in the truck averting a major accident! Wow! GIVE HER A RAISE, or AWARD or something, she truly cares!Alvin B.
