This was the worst uhual experience I have ever had. The customer service person messed up are order so bad that I will never come back to this location ever again. I was over charge for the mileage I went. There is no way I went over 100 miles in town. They had to put something in wrong. They did not prove me with a furniture dolly that I requested. They gave me a regular dolley which I did not use and zipped tied in my truck and it was annoying to have to work around it and I could have packed boxes where the dolley was. I requested 24 furniture pads there were only 17 in my truck and they were not clean. They had tap and dirt all over them which got my furniture dirt and since I only had 17 furniture pads I did not have enough to cover on my furniture. I have used uhaul in Savannah,GA and Knoxville,TN and had a great experience. My truck was clean and I had everything I need and requested and the customer service was great. If I did not have that pasted experience with uhaul I would not use uhual again. For the next time, I moved I will not be using the this location. They need to trained there staff better at this location.

I had to tell the clerk who training another person 4 times I was renting the 4 x 8 trailer. The process took far too long to complete. Once it was, clerk was very helpful.

The customer service was okay at check in and great when I returned the truck. The truck was dirty in the cabin and trailer, and there were ants inside the truck. The equipment requested(dolly) was not in the truck initially. We had to use sheets to lay the furniture on for transport and it did get dirty, but we were able to clean it. I didn’t think to say anything initially because I already had to go out of the way to get the size truck requested. I had only limited time to move due to having movers ready. When I returned the truck the staff was really nice and understanding. They apologized about the difficult experience.

The price changed dramatically from my online quote total. The dollies that I had reserved and that were included in my original online order price were not there and I had to go to two other UHaul locations to get them! And had to pay extra for them!! So instead of the online price I was expecting to pay of $172 plus tax I paid $230!

Extremely difficult to find; especially due to closed roads.



My appointment was not scheduled correctly therefore I had to find another location in order to rent from which was very inconvenient. I was given an all or none option when it came to renting the equipment needed. When I dropped the equipment back off the lady working there was not pleasant or warming and she had a bad attitude and was also arguing with another employee, which didn't look good at all.



Only issue was ants int he cab and box. Cab ants were so bad we had to spray with ant killer. Otherwise all was good.

Center is in a very rough part of town.



First of all I spend a lot of money with UHaul booking trucks on a weekly basis. I was called numerous times by the Uhaul reps and they told me they had one truck at the location on 28th Street and there was another truck at another Uhaul location in Homewold, AL (which was closer to our hotel). We went to dinner that night and tried to get a truck afterwards by our hotel at the location we were given. We couldn’t get a truck and we waited for around 30 minutes or more for a rep to get back on the phone because she realized the transportation crew didn’t have us a truck at the location. We then drove across Birmingham at 10PM to the location on 28th street to get the other truck. While waiting a shooting took place at that time while we were there..... After getting the truck we then drove to our hotel and realized that the A/C didn’t work in the box truck. It was 100+ outside in Alabama and even hotter in the box truck. I requested a truck with cruise control since we were driving 6 hours north.... that didn’t happens either and the rep put it in the notes. I also called to reserve a truck for today 6-26-18 and the representative was very rude and I even told her “Ma’am please don’t get rude with me” I didn’t respond in a hateful way I was just over Uhaul’s customer service as a whole by this time. I’ve never been treated like that but she was out of line! Uhaul lately is taking forever to answer calls from customers and this at times could be in a location where gun shootings are happening while customers are waiting for their trucks. I appreciate the representatives at Uhual who are professional and understand customer service especially from customers who spend lots of their hard earned money with your company!
