The fuel gauge of the truck seems to be broken because I only drove 52 miles and when I refuelled the truck I left the key turned to the ACC position to make sure I returned the truck with the correct amount of fuel. I gauge barely moved after 17 gallons of fuel in a 40 gallon tank. After driving less than a half mile around the corner from the gas station to the Budget Inn to drop off the truck, the fuel gauge had only moved to 3/8 of a tank, which is what it was at when I picked the truck up. When I tried to bring this up to the woman that was at the location when I dropped off the truck, she was rude, aggressive and combative. She would cut me off mid sentence saying she is only the middleman for U-Haul and to take it up with them then she told me to leave the key on the counter and just walked away into a back room. Later that night I received an email with my receipt, it stated that the fuel gauge was at 1/8 and I was charged, a Fuel Service Fee of $30 and $59.80 for 10 gallons of gas. The total bill came out to $261.36 which is over $100 more than what my rental should have been. If I hadn't had great experiences with U-Haul in the past I would look for an alternative and never use U-Haul again. I strongly suggest that you go somewhere other than, Budget Inn.

Stop lying about the gas gauge. Not mentioning the $29.95 add on if returned later. I called the Budget Inn telling them I had to wait on the Internet guy and they just said ok. Nobody was waiting to use this truck. I'll never use Uhaul again. The app is a nightmare. The woman who I returned the truck to said she had to take pictures of the dashboard but when I called Uhaul, no pix were submitted. Budget Inn claimed I returned the truck and it had 1/16th of a tank of gas when it clearly had 1/4 so I was also overcharged for gas. Uhaul said the last time this truck was rented, it was returned with exactly 1/16th of a tank also. Imagine the odds of that. The women were not in the least bit helpful. What did I expect from such a dump. Never using Uhaul again. Complete scam

Ernest GDoesn’t seem like the trucks get much use or checked out to be cleaned. Definitely had some dents and paint scuffs/peeling. But integrity was fine. Just dusty on the inside. Staff were super friendly and nice.
TIMOTHY NThere were some mix ups here n there, but they fixed it. The Uhaul was dirty, but that's fine. I just returned it how I got it, but did clean out the back since I did make that mess.
