The van we got was dirty in the back and then upon returning it we got a surprise 16 dollar charge. Maybe call before charging to verify what the charge is with the customer. Will be contacting the store today though to figure it out.

They got my reservation wrong that I made in advance (tried to give me an open trailer) and then they only had a 6x12 trailer enclosed I could use. I was pulling this with my Jeep so it was very difficult and shouldn’t have happened tbh but I had to make it work at that point. The guy didn’t check my lights and didn’t show me how to attach the trailer either. Just walked away.

Charged for a second day because the computer said we were 15 minutes late. Will not use your company again and will not recommend it. We live in a small town and issues like this can do a lot of damage to your reputation. Employee was rude and manager was unavailable. We should of even given the truck for the full extra 23.45 hours or only charged a prorated amount if anything. Instead, the truck was re-rented and your company collects double pay on the truck. Inexcusable.

This was the second time I attempted to rent from there. The first time they didn't have the truck. This time they had the truck but I had to find the person to get them to come to the front to get me registered and it wasn't an overall pleasant customer service interaction.

My paperwork wasn't right. The gas level was off and the agent caught that and fixed it. But, as it turns out, the mileage was off too and that one slipped by. It caused a problem when I dropped off the truck (resolved by the agent at the drop off site). It seems to me that someone used the truck off the books, causing the gas level and mileage to mismatch what was recorded in the system.

Check in and rental of the U-haul was fine. However, we had noted that our return time would be 2pm. We returned the U-haul at 1:45pm. At 4:00 we got several phone calls and 2 separate voicemails from the person at the desk claiming that we had not turned in the u-haul and that we were late, and he was extremely rude. My advice would be to check with your workers and look in your parking lot before calling customers and leaving harsh voicemails and insulting them claiming they have done something wrong.

No one mentioned, nor did I notice, the need to fold the moving blankets we rented. The person to whom we returned the truck was overall rude and upset about the rented blankets not being folded; not to mention the $2 per blanket that he said and charged as a cleaning fee.



The AC on the vehicle was not functioning properly, it blew hot air on an extremely hot day. I dropped it off after hours, but there was no key drop. There were no instructions on after hours drop off other than contact Uhaul. I was on hold for 20 minutes, and no one answered. The truck was parked in the area where the sign explicitly stated "return equipment here". I left it parked there in front of a gate, and put the key inside the pocket of a clipboard inside the portable service station where vehicles were cleaned. Uhaul was notified through email. I received a call the next morning with the manager stating the truck had to be towed because it blocked a 24 hour entrance gait. I had no idea it was a 24 hour entrance gait. I never used the location to store equipment. The experience was unlike anything I have ever experienced with Uhaul. I will be disputing the tow charge, and contacting BBB if the tow charge is not absolved.

I returned my vehicle after closing hours and there was no drop box available for the key to go in. The facility is also a storage facility and they share an entrance gate. A gentleman inside the fence told me to park out front and leave the key in it. I wasn't comortable doing this. The sign said go to but I couldn' t find anyhing about vehicle return on the site.

I walked in to the 105 bypass boone nc location on 6/6/18. I had a bunch of questions as to what a 17 ft truck would cost for a one way or a round trip to jacksonville nc. The gentleman that i spoke to said that u-haul now charges by the mile so it would ve foolish to drive it all the way back. I asked him to give me a price for a trailer to tow our other vehicle as well. So he quoted me at 363$. I had asked umtine times thays all ill be chafged that theres no other fees. He told me and assured me that there will mot be another fees that everything is included in that price. I even called my husband to tell him what i was going to reserve and what it was going to cost. My husband even spoke to the gentleman on my cell phone answering my husbands questions. I went to grab my debit card to keep on file for the reservation. Again before giving over my card i asked once more theres no other fees it will omly be 363$ correct? The gentleman again assured me yes the final price os 363$! We would pick up the truck and trailer at 7am and if we wanted we could have picked up the trailer after the uhaul was loaded. So my reservation was made for 6/21/18. On the 20th i got a call from uhual asking if im still keeping my reservation and pickimg up the truck for 10 am? I was baffled at first bevuase i reserved it for 7am. The gentleman said oh it said 10am in our syestem. So that should have been red flag number 1. Well my husband picks up the uhual and trailer and we get all loaded and head down to jacksonville nc. We arrive at our location and have the uhual and trailer cleaned and gas filled back to where it was given at. So my husband says we are returning it a day early, its clean and gassed up, we should get our deposit back of 100$ ... I said what? He said they held 100$ on our card. Ummm ok well l hope that it was someomes mistake overall. Becuase we should only be charged for the few boxes (20$) and the truck (278) and the trailer (79) .... Again to the drop off lady at this uhual my husband was overly exhuasted and sick he returned the uhual and just signed it. Brings home the reciept and i checked my bank account i was charged 490$!!!!! It should have been 388$!!!! And the few miles we went over adding on 12$ so 400$ at most was only to be charged to my debit card. I called uhual and spoke to a lady and she said she created a ticket and someome would be giving me a call on saturday already... Mine you today is tuesday and still no call back. Yesterday my husband drove back to boone and stopped in at the 105 bypass store and asked why we were charged 490$ and our 100$ deposit isnt being refunded.... Well that was a show and a half... We were now told that there never was a depoait on our card held and we paid for insurance on the uhaul and taxes.... Ummm wait what? I was told that my car insurance was fine and that the taxes were included in the 363$ price.. Well there's nothing they can do for me ... Then i was told to fill this review out and the

Disappointed at the distance had to return truck and then charged extra $12 for over mileage. If you say what a rate don't overcharge at return location. Will consider this when renting again!

This location added a $143.55 bill on top of the 58.27 I had already paid for the use of a tow dolly and upon calling the location, they said they had no idea why they charged me almost 145$ more just to return a dolly. I was transferred to corporate customer service at which point I was told I had no reason to be upset that it was normal to be charged extra. No ma’am it is not and if this is how uhaul intends to handle repeat customers, I will never rent another uhaul again.

Booked the truck online and when it was transferred to the pick -up location, all the info that I had booked was wrong. The employee who did the contract in Boone was an idiot. Had no idea what to do or how to fix the contract to what I had originally booked.
