Everything about this uhaul encounter was terrible. I scheduled a pick up location convenient for me at 7 AM. I got there at 6:52 Am and went on the app to find a message saying that not all the equipment was available. Upon calling the help desk I was told that the keys were not in the lockbox (where they should have been) and that I am unable to take the truck. This location was perfect for distance between my the two point of travel. The agent then told me another truck was available at a location miles away. I said that was fine but upon getting there I was disgusted. The location was very dirty the truck was behind several garbage cans. The people inside the establishment were not kind and again this was miles away from my original location… at this point it is 740 and i was supposed to meet my moving crew at 8. At this point i had to call them and tell them the issue with the uhaul and delay the time. Then when I began driving the uhaul i noticed some banging in the back. Opened it up and noticed the dolly was freely moving around as the track that held is was completely broken (I did speak with Lorraine about this later in the day and she was very helpful, kind and understanding!). I expect some better compensation for the extra mileage and gas needed to drive exponentially further than originally scheduled. After this it will be difficult to recommend uhaul to others.
