While the location was fine the attendant first told me that the trailer was not available despite my confirmed reservation. I had to be very assertive and she eventually reluctantly processed the rental. She directed me to the trailer "by the edge of the grass" and she would meet me there. I had a trailer connected and ready to go when she finally came out to tell me that I was to take a different (identical) trailer so I had to disconnect and connect to a second trailer. It was not the best customer service I have experienced.

The website experience is inconsistent on a number of levels. When booking a cargo trailer, the confirmations come back with a utility trailer. This seems to be an error/bug in the website. The consistency of the check in process across the app and the website is not great since you have to add vehicle information again.


Had a problem contacting the store on the day I had the rental vehicle. It was due back at 7pm and no one answered the phone. I called at 6:40pm and was on hold for 30 minutes. No one ever picked up. I incurred unreasonable charges after ward.

This was my first uHaul rental. I made the reservation online. I chose U-Haul because of the low load height and ramp. I arrived to pick up the rental, upon looking at the 10' truck, I thought it may not be large enough for all the training equipment and realized it also did not have a ramp. I asked the associate at the desk if he had a 15' truck available. He answered in the affirmative, but it was his first day, and he needed to have his manager do the change the reservation. For the next 30 minutes, I waited patiently for his manager, whom he had contacted via cell phone. When she did finally arrive she took care of me quickly. and I was on my way. Once I entered the vehicle I noticed it was not the cleanest, but its a truck... I then found a cigarette in the ashtray (not cool!). The airbag light was on and there was a quarter tank of fuel. I filled up, loaded up and the following morning proceeded to our training location. On day 3 it rained. The vehicle sat for the morning. When we completed our training and were going to load-out we discovered about 3" of water in "Mom's Attic". This required us to remove all our equipment, get as much of the water out of there as possible and then put down clothing we use for scenarios to soak up the water that was left and try and keep the equipment dry. I did return the truck late and was hit with an additional day's rental in part because our class ran a bit late, but also in part due to the having to off-load, dry, and reload the truck. I understand these vehicles are not water-proof, but I believe there is an expectation they won't flood. This was very disappointing. I will have to look at other options and compare them next time.

The location was fine. The web site (poor interface and glitchy functionality) and 1-800# (no one ever avail) was the reason I will kit use UHaul again.

Great customer service


The employees were very courteous and professional, however it took me almost 1 hr to get my truck because they only had one person working then they tell me I need to be back by 5 because someone else is picking up truck at 5:15! So you already took an hour of my time and I need to bring it in earlier then the 6 hours I requested? I only ended up with the truck for 4 hours and I booked 6!


The young lady with the glasses was so nice and really helpful The other old lady was ride didn't care about nothing she had a attitude and was very ghetto bot professional at all she said she got a cdl but she working at U-Haul lmfao

Dropped off trailer on 10/29/2020 after the store was closed. I called the number on the paperwork and waited on hold for 30 minutes. I could see a person working in the store but could not get their attention because I was outside in the rain.

The bill charge is to much. he charged me double the price for a distance of 99 kilometers. they take the money from my account without my consent. I am not really happy. I can't use any more U-haul thanks.

There should be in place partial reimbursement due circumstances beyond a customer's control. When closing on a home so much depend on factors that can't be controlled. The truck i rented sat on my driveway for 4 hours waiting for the seller of our new home to get back to us. I was charged full price after informing them at uhaul.

This was the worst experience I've had moving in my adult life. I booked a truck one month in advance for a Saturday in August. My husband went to pick up the truck 30 minutes earlier for our reservation. No truck. An hour. No truck. 2, 3, 4 hours later still no truck. No help to even find another truck from the location in queens. Finally they sent him to another uhaul location in NYC because they had a truck. He gets there after they promised him the truck would be ready to go when he got there. THERE WAS NO TRUCK. They keep him waiting another 40 minutes, then they find him a truck. It wasn't a truck, it was a VAN. We were moving a two bedroom apartment. They people at that location flat told him there was nothing to be done even though we had already paid. We call the corporate number and the only truck available is an hour away in Bridgeport CT. So we drive the hour to get the truck. Why did nobody give us that option literally 6 hours earlier instead of wasting an entire day when we had movers WAITING. Finally a month after this awful experience uhaul is STILL writing me with citations charges - which is a lot of nerve considering the money we spent in cabs going from uhaul to uhaul waiting for trucks that were never there. Not to mention the money in gas to drive to Bridgeport from queens and then to MA. Truly the worst customer service I've ever received. And for those wasted two hours we got a $50 discount. That's it. And now we're still being charged.


I love the pine st location. Very good staff, clean and helpful.

First time I made reservations online they switched my reservation to another location. Second time, they charged me for another day due to their lack of vehicles available. I was only allowed to have it for 3 hours. Will never use this location again

Train better at customer service. Have the workers understand the problem then assuming the customers knows the process. Also my name is Petrice I reserved the truck under my information but somehow got everything under my fiancee William. Very upset and disappointed never had a problem in all my years renting trucks till now.
