Mr. Redman took good care of us at the time of our rental. The equipment was in good shape and the seats in the truck were incredibly comfortable for our 1400 mile trip. We would absolutely rent another set-up from Uhaul.

I was billed twice for my rental, taking an additional $173.00 from my bank account, which hurts even more when you are traveling on a budget and need that money.

The "express" checkout option was pointless. I entered my credit card info as well as my license info on the uhaul site to avoid having a long drawn out checkout at the store. Upon getting to the store they had me give them my credit card and license and then proceeded to go through and entire application process again because the truck was only marked as one way, even though it clearly wasn't. So the express checkout was a joke

There was a mechanic that went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. I had a hitch put on my vehicle before going to this location. The hitch was not put on properly and this mechanic took the time to fix everything that wasn't right with my vehicle. I greatly appreciate his work and taking the time to get my vehicle together.

This was the first location I tried to rent a trailer from, about a week before making the reservation at Putnam. The first thing I did when I arrived and expressed that I needed to rent a car trailer was ask them to inspect my hitch and test the electronics. The man helping me said that my hitch was only rated for 6000 pounds so I could not tow the trailer and vehicle I was picking up. The only option I then had was to rent a truck and trailer totaling over $750 for the time and mileage I needed. I proceeded to spend the rest of that day looking for a replacement hitch only to find that none existed. When I arrived at home I looked at the hitch myself only to find there was NOTHING indicating what the rating was. The uhaul employee flat out lied to me. The only number of meaning I saw on the hitch was the tongue weight, rated at 860 pounds. My research indicated that tongue weight it 10% of what a vehicle can tow which means the hitch is actually rated for 8600 pounds, more than enough for the car in tow and the trailer. Later that night I found the window sticker for my vehicle which indicated the previous owner added the heavy duty tow package which allows the car to tow 8650 pounds. That feature can be visually distinguished by the presence of a 4 and 7 pin connector on the hitch. The combination of this experience and the Putnam location not inspecting my hitch at all is not acceptable, dishonest and unsafe.

I had confirmed the pick up time the day before so everything would be ready for a 12:30 pick up. After filling out the paperwork, it took several minutes for the truck to be brought around. Then employee had to sweep it out and then he had to drive to the back to get the blankets I had ordered..

There wasn't much wrong with the location. However, U-Haul itself completely dropped the ball this time. I made a GUARANTEED reservation for a 20 foot truck at a location in Plainville and ended up with a 17 foot truck in Bristol. This was after U-Haul changed my reservation FOUR times. You bet I am going to be seeking compensation for this run around and the failure to provide me with the truck I was GUARANTEED.

The truck has over 140,000 miles and is tired. The ABS light was on when I picked it up. The ignition switch was a nightmare. Difficult to make a connection when trying to start the truck. The people at Redman's Trailer sales were very polite.

No sign on where to drop off the keys or where to park rental. Called reservation line and no one answered due to holiday weekend. I had no service to do self check on the premises.
