The van was damaged it was all scratched up, the passagger mirror was cracked and the back door didn’t trip the sensor so it kept telling me the door was open.

Let it be known that the pre-check-in process (taking photos of self, license, etc) could be started ahead of time. I was outside on the street trying to take photos of my license at the time of my reservation, not knowing I could have done that part ahead of time.

By far the worst experience with any rental company that I’ve ever had. After reserving a 10 foot truck at a convenient location in Queens, NY, I was redirected to a location in Brooklyn, an entirely different borough. After waiting almost an hour, I dealt with incredibly rude and unprofessional staff members at this gas station. During the checkout process I was told my credit card was declined and upon further review I realized that they were trying to process the transaction under the name and account of the people who were in front of me prior. Once I eventually did receive the truck, after walking a block in the rain, I found that it’s check engine light was on and that one of the windshield wiper arms were broken. I walked back to the station where they basically told me that I was lying and after having to walk back with an attendant who tried to get me to accept the damaged and unsafe vehicle. After much debate they gave me a new vehicle which I had to walk even further to get along with a horrendously disrespectful and hostile attitude. They then attempted to write down that there was more fuel than there actually was. I intend are contacting Uhaul’s corporate office regarding this terrible experience.

The two gentlemen that were at this location this morning 1/5/19 were super helpful. I was in a bind and (I think he said his name was Vob but my hearing is terrible so I’m sorry if that’s not it) the guy that got me the van was the best. We were almost charged 20 extra miles because of an error that a man on the night shift made. We would not leave until all records were checked again and sure enough of course, he had written down the mileage wrong in the computer. To add insult to injury we were also almost charged for moving pads we were never given. No apology for the mix up. Luckily, there was one woman on staff who helped us.
