The staff at Mid State Golf Cars were great. Very accommodating and helpful. However, the lady that called me from Uhaul today wasnt. We had a winter storm in AR this week and were unable to return the unit on time. This was discussed at pickup and I was in constant contact with Mid South about the fact that I couldnt safely get out of the neighborhood. When the rep from Uhaul called me, I attempted to explain this to her and she interrupted me and insinuated that I was lying by saying "its been storming for 5 days?". She was not empathetic at all and told me that I would have to pay if it wasnt returned because another customer had it rented. When I attempted to explain to her that the rental location was closed like the majority of businesses in the area and I had already spoken to them this morning. She stated "well, ill call them and verify this conversation and IF thats what they say, it will be fine". We had appr 6 inches of snow and ice on the ground in an ill prepared state with a steep incline to travel up. I do not appreciate the accusatory manner in which I was approached nor do I appreciate the lack of empathy and unwillingness to listen. The unit was returned today, mainly due to her fear tactics of costing me hundreds of dollars. It wasnt safe. We got stuck multiple times, including in the parking lot of the return location. Perhaps some training on customer service and when to listen is appropriate.

As with many UHAUL locations, the UHAUL part of the business is a secondary gig and it shows. Unfortunately, the drop off location amounts to a muddy field with trailers scattered around the field. The location is a good city block from the office so I put the trailer where it was out of the most muddy part of the field and hiked to the office. Once there it took about 15 minutes to get checked in (I was the only customer). I asked for some help lifting the 6X12 trailer off the hitch and a young man (18ish?) was dispatched to help. Once back at the drop off field, the young man asked me to move the trailer and put it in a much more muddy location, I backed the trailer up where he directed untill my rear tires were loosing traction and I was in the mud. If a dealer wants to use a muddy field as a drop off point, they should use one of their vehicles to go 4 wheeling not the customer's. On a positive note, McKenzie was very pleasant and got the trailer checked in. Lesson learned: Don't expect that the trailers tires have been checked for proper air pressure. Don't expect that the tires will be in great shape. Two of the 4 tires were practically bald and with a bout of recent cold weather, the tires were all low. Remember when you drive off that lot, it's ultimately your responsibility to ensure the trailer is safe to operate. Additional note: I had brought a standard reciever hitch pin to use on the trailer. It was about an inch short of fitting. I went to Home Depot looking for a longer one but they had nothing that would fit. IF UHAUL has the proper hitch pin, it much be a specialty part.
David WThe drop off was my most friendly interaction of all. I explained I said the vehicle was not clean because it’s the same mess and nastiness that was there prior to me renting the truck, but I was charged a 24$ cleaning fee because I said it wasn’t. Overall because of everything that has happened entirety I won’t be choosing uhaul again.

RICHARD DAbsolutely fantastic experience! I was on a very tight time table to get a trailer and get a vehicle towed to a shop an hour away. A young man from the rental location met us at the trailer and started hooking it up for us before I could even get out of the truck. I was able to get in and out super quick and I love that they respected that I was needing that. When I got back to drop off the trailer, the same young man unhooked everything for me. All of this made for a significant reduction in stress for me. I’d be the thrilled to rent from this business again and I’ll tell everyone to go here!
