Moving is stressful under the best of circumstances. For us, it happened during two of the hottest days of the year while a close family member became seriously ill and suffered a significant concussion that led to multiple ER visits. What should have been a simple move quickly became one of the most difficult weeks our family has ever experienced. When I arrived to pick up our U-Haul, some of the moving equipment we needed wasn't available. Corey immediately took ownership of the situation, tracked down the furniture blankets and dolly, and got us on the road without letting it derail the day. That level of customer service set the tone for everything that followed. As the week unfolded, our situation became much more complicated. We unexpectedly had to keep the truck for several extra days while I cared for my injured family member, made repeated trips to the emergency room, and eventually finished the move and cleaned the old apartment almost entirely on my own. During that time, half of our belongings were in the truck, half were at the new apartment, and our family—including our dogs—was living in the middle of complete uncertainty. Through all of it, Julia, Corey, and everyone at Monticello True Value's U-Haul team showed incredible understanding, flexibility, kindness, and compassion. They treated us like people first, not just another rental agreement. That meant more than I can express. Today I'm writing this from our new apartment. My family member is finally getting some much-needed rest, our dogs are curled up beside her, and we're beginning to put our lives back together. Looking back, I honestly don't know how we would have gotten through that week without the understanding and support we received. Moving is one of the most vulnerable times in a person's life. U-Haul at Monticello True Value didn't just help us move our belongings—they helped our family make it home. To Julia, Corey, and the entire team: thank you. Your kindness, patience, and professionalism made an unforgettable difference during one of the hardest weeks of our lives. Bravo, and thank you. You have my lasting gratitude.
Ryan MWorst experience ever with uhaul. Truck was super dirty, truck had issue lights on about tires and was over charged. Also NO customer service skills at all. NEVER will I go to this location again. Payed $80 for 2 hrs. Said I drove more miles than I did .
