I drove 12 miles total and was charged for 9 gallons of gas by U-Haul. That’s a scam. Would not recommend U-Haul if that’s how they’re going to offer low prices up front and grab money afterward.
Steven CI drove the truck 85 miles and when I gased it up it before returning it took 16 gallon. The rental agent said the tank showed full when I rented the truck. My load was 600 pounds of old carpet and an air conditioner unit from my house to a metal recycle and city dump 40 miles away. The return trip (45 miles) the bed was empty. This means the truck got 5.3 miles to a gallon or the tank was not full.
