I had so many bad experiences with this rental I don't even know where to start I spent $523 last week to rent a U-Haul turned around one week later spent $200 more to rent a U-Haul the worst experience I've ever had in my life... with my problem I tried to call Ryan Hooch never returned my message never returned my email. Now a little bit about my problem and what happened on my experience with Uhaul first off I reserved my unit days in advance for 10 a.m. Once I arrived at 10 a.m. to pick up my unit I wish I was charged the whole price as the deposit and I didn't have enough in my account so I wouldn't put the money in the bank which was about an hour away by the time I turned around and came back to pick my unit up the same gentleman that knew I had a reservation then tells me somehow my reservation got cancelled then I tried to call Ryan because I already spoke to him once that morning about the problem we were already having and left him a voicemail I received nothing from him so I emailed him to please call me because I was being told that my 10 appointment would not be fulfilled until 4:30 in the evening. So after the long delay for my departure I arrived at 4:30 to pick the unit up the unit was not full of gas the unit was full of dog hair in the front of the truck mud everywhere I took the unit Home open the doors and blew it out with my blower. I honestly believe that U-Haul has changed their whole point of view with customer service and I'm rethinking my rental options. Sad thing about this whole situation is in two weeks I've spent over $700 to rent to Uhaul both incidents had problems.. I think what makes me angry about this whole situation is when I called for customer service to help me out because they knew there was nothing they can do I basically got turned away and then I had to change my whole plans to fit Uhaul needs not my own

I attempted to use the mobile app to pickup the van. You guys have got to figure that out. Here's a thought, allow the customer to go through your validation process BEFORE standing in front of the van in a parking lot. YOU have to be kidding me...take pictures of my license when I have bags in my hands. Then chat with someone who doesn't care if I'm in a hurry or not because the have to verify my reference. I rented from you because you were close. I'll have Enterprise drop off a van next time and pay more for it. Have you seen what the rental car companies are doing? I walk up and GO. All because they have my profile setup BEFORE I get there. Figure it out PEOPLE!

I was told that I had to pick up at Burton Ohio by your Corp. Location in Cleveland. The location was not the original location I had identified when I made the reservation. The Burton location told me that you could have made the pick up at my original request but that you chose not to and instead inconvenienced me. Then Burton location. Stated that I could drop off anywhere convenient to me. When I looked at my contract I had a specific location. I think you can and should do better. Disappointed in uhaul.

I rented 12 moving blankets and got a mish mosh of comforterts and rags which were disgusting. The man apologized when the van was returned, but did not offer a refund of the fee. He should have. Truck was fine and surprised at the great mileage the truck got overall.

The nickle and diming on pricing and the tight bandwidth on miles is rediculous and misleading. I brought vehicle back with a quarter tank more than started with ($25 value) and was charged for going 22 miles over (not stated when I left facilty so likely not accurate) . Also, there was damage to vehicle allowing leaks with a note on backside of contract I am responsible for damage. This wasn't pointed out at all and was clearly trying to slide it under the table. I was treated in a very dishonest manner in multiple ways.

My experience was less than pleasant, starting from the moment I arrived. I had to search for a clerk in the floral shop to assist me. I found a gentleman after a few minutes, but he was just in maintenance and proceeded to yell through me to get a woman's attention in the back. She was pretty rude and shouted back that she had seen me and that she would come out to help me when she could. I could hear that she was talking and laughing with another woman who was there. She didn't emerge for several minutes more. I remained patient and greeted her with a smile. She was very short with me and just unpleasant, not even a smile. It seemed pretty unprofessional in a business invironment. She proceeded to check me in and pretty much asked me every question that I had already submitted online, I don't know why any of that information wasn't in the system already. She threw me the keys and I was on my way. When I opened the U-Haul there was optional equipment that I did not order and I'm not sure If I was charged for it, hopefully not. Then when I checked in the U-Haul in to my dismay it was the same woman. The woman noticed a dent the back right top bumper. She showed me the dent and reassure me that it was just a piece of plastic and was no big deal so I didn't fight it. She was pretty verbally abusive and not helpful at all in explaining the process to come. I was too nervous to put the U-Haul in reverse to back up anywhere and luckily I didn't have to. So how a dent occurred in the back is beyond me. It was a stormy day and the winds were high so we thought that that could explain the dent if a branch had come down somewhere on route. But frankly I feel like I'm being taken advantage of because I did not purchase the extra insurance. I recently received a bill for $300 that was automatically pulled out of my account without my approval. The bill is very vague as to what the charges were for I'm assuming the dent and equipment I did not purchase on top of the actual fee. I cannot believe this little dent would cost $250 to fix. Even if they had to custom make the part and replace it. I could make hunk of plastic that size with a 3-D printer for less than $20. I pass by the pick up location everyday for work and I have noticed that the dent is still there and have seen the U-Haul still being used, so what were the charges for if it isn't even being replaced? I have used many U-Hauls in the past few years and have generally been very pleased with the company, but I'm pretty agitated by this last experience.

My original reservation was not able to be completed due to problems with Uhaul’s computer system. Cleveland dispatch could not solve the problem. The problem was forwarded to the on-line chat that, after more than 15 min of waiting we gave up. Canceled the reservation and created a new one. It took over45 minutes to complete the pickup. The truck floors and seats were muddy. Since this is a long distance rental truck, long expected drive time the truck should have been clean and comfortable (cleanliness is part of being comfortable).

Order for packing blankets was nor able to be filled. Rental person gave us the 4 she had at no charge. Nice location, but equipment old and beat up.

The computers were not working I spent about an hour waiting to just take the truck. They ended up having to write everything down manually

truck needs better care. Front end wandered and was hard to steer. transmission seemed to shift very hard.
