Owner was not available to assist with trailer off-load from my vehicle. I am an elderly individual who did not have the capability to lift the trailer hitch from my vehicle and the owner explained that he would be out of town on my scheduled drop off day and no one at the site would be available to help. He did indicate that if I knew how to drive his forklift at could get the keys from his elderly mother, who would be tending the shop while he was gone. He also said that if I had a floor-jack I could bring that with me to lift the hitch from my car, and then just kick the trailer tongue off my jack to get the hitch free, which I ended up doing. He didn't offer any discount for my troubles, but I wouldn't recommend the location to anyone else. I didn't have much choice about renting the trailer from that location since they are the only UHaul rental location within a 30-mile radius of our area.

SCOTTY AEverything seemed to be great at the drop off location
jack wMike was outstanding to work with however as a company U-Haul needs to improve on providing, fulfilling reserved equipment needs. I had made reservations almost 1 month prior to our anticipated closing on sale of our home and closing on new home for: 1-26' van and 1-20' van. On the day prior to pickup I was informed, "sorry we do not have a 26' van available" . Subsequently I had to rent the only other available option, 2- 15' vans which still were not large enough, as well as find yet a qualified 3rd driver. Totally unacceptable and unexplainable. Had I had advanced notification I could have had Ryder in Bangor deliver me the equipment I required/needed. So Mike and Downeast Hub get the kudos but U-Haul as a company sucks based on their ability to meet/service the customers needs.
