When I picked up the vehicle it had 1/4 tank of gas - they knew I was to be using it for 150 miles. When I questioned them on it I was told “vehicles come back with all different amounts of gas left”. Really???!!!

I was going to be out of town for our Uhaul pick up and sent my son to pick up the truck for our across the state move. I called on 3 different occasions to make sure that he could pick up the truck and pay with my husband's credit card. On all 3 occasions I was told that was fine. When my son went to get the truck he was told that the person picking up the truck had to be the person who was showing the driver's license and whose credit card matched the ID. Of course, they wouldn't let us talk to anyone and we were out of state. Luckily we were able to get enough cash transferred and everything worked out, but I was VERY angry and frustrated by the customer service. More than likely we will not be using Uhaul again.

Pickup process was very slow even with pre checkin process followed and as a result the 9:00am when I planned to pick up was adjusted by an hour for return. And later picking up the car carrier took well over and hour because tech couldn’t connect to the truck. Finally requested help after wasting another half hour

Every thing was as stated except rental was 24 hours not 6 hours, which was fine except expected payment was different. I understand why 24 hour rental fee is used but this should be stated on the web site--it is kind of a bait and switch tactic.

I checked in online prior to arriving at the rental location, and still had to wait in a line behind people that were not "checked-in". The process took about 20 minutes. Perhaps the process could be modeled after the rental car business. Where you go directly to the assigned vehicle, proceed to a exit gate, and show your identification and credit card to the exit gate employee.

Called 800 number before checking in because I thought I would get one. The rides person on the phone and not helpful. Check in took 1 hour because U-Haul had a system crash on Saturday morning.

For the past 8 to 10 years, we've patronized this location. Manager Henry has been great!! In fact, up until today, we have had absolutely no problems at this location. However, this time we had an issue with the customer service we experienced. Substandard customer service is unacceptable! James the rep who was assigned to help us was rude and lacked concern for our needs. Instead of providing answers he was disrespectful which created a bit of discomfort. One important improvement is to teach the reps the importance of customer service. For without the customer, the company would not be in business and without the business there would be no need for employees. Every customer should be a valued customer! Customer Service! Customer Service! Customer Service!!

Picking up was a lil delay but understandable. Plus I would advise for in store staff to smile more. You guys were friendly and helpful providing the service and getting the paperwork done quickly, but in store, they need to stay focus and not rush doing what they need to do or get more staff so you're not short handed. Other than that you guys were great, thank you!
