Jim campen trailer sales was the original vendor I was supposed to pick up my uhaul through but when I arrived there they did not have my truck that I reserved several days in advance. The guy got on the phone and the closest uhaul size they had available that I needed was in candler at the spot. I am so happy that they transferred me to that location because the people at Jim campen trailer sales are miserable people the women I spoke to on the phone to had absolutely no customer service skills and was down right rude and the dude that I delt with wasnt any better. They do not have their building clearly marked where to come and get the uhaul and then act like you are an idiot because you didn't know where to go. If I owned uhaul I wouldn't want them attached to my company name. The Spot was a completely different experience they had it clearly labeled where to go. The lady was so nice and helpful I wish I caught her name.

The sale transaction time was a little long both on pickup and dropped. Not the attendants fault but it seemed like the software on the iPad was clunky/ slow. It wasn’t the attendants because I had a different one for pickup and drop off. Thank you. The equipment was great! I love the features of the trailer that made it super easy to connect to my hitch. The lever ball coupler is great. The safety chains were like spring loaded so they don’t drag. And the ramp was nice with the hydraulic assist. Really well designed trailers for fast renting.
JOSE BSlow to do paperwork, out of the way location, had to do all the hook up. People were nice
RONALD STrailer was dirty. We ordered 4'x8' trailer but all they had was 6'x12' trailer. We ordered furniture pads, they had none. The trailer was too big for our Dodge Caravan and difficult to tow. When we arrived, the poor girl who was there alone had apparently never rented a trailer. She got on her cell phone with someone who knew how and assisted us over 45 minutes to go line by line in uploading my drivers license and in filling out forms which I believe I have completed online previously. Then after all of that, the picture of the dfivers license was not 'authenticated' and we had to go back thru the entire form again line by line to get it done. The one helper showed up just as we were trying to hook the trailer to our tow hitch. The connector to the ball on the hitch works by a lift up flip switch. There was no safety pin and they did not have one. When we got home,we used one of our bolts as the safety pin. It was a complete failure compared to prior U Haul rental we had made.
WALTER MWhen we picked up the van we were NOT told to check the mileage- we were only told wed be getting an email. So we got in and left. When we arrived home, we opened the Uhaul to find a loose dolly, so we feared we'd be charged for that. After packing the van, I realized I got a text message to check in the van- but by then it had expired. So, when I returned the van I was charged 30 Bucks for going 27 miles over the allotment. There is no way we did this, it was likely caused by the van beginning mileage not being correct. Yes, we should have checked- but I was not told to, so I didn't think to do it. This was a gas station further from our home than the one we initially picked- which was a storage facility. Uhaul should have made sure the equipment was available at the location I chose to began with- whats the point of making a reservation? Additionally, the tank was near empty. I feel like if I am picking it up at a gas station it should AT LEAST have gas. Especially since now we were driving FURTHER away to pick up the van. Anyway, I learned a 30 dollar lesson that could have been avoided had they read the mileage correctly.
