Clayton FPickup location did not have a a real person…it had a virtual assistant. I spoke to the image of a person on the screen. The first virtual assistant started to process me and then said “i will be right back”… but never came back. Then another person came on the screen a few minutes later. There were multiple, critical things to the rental, that i needed cell phone reception for. However this location is somewhat rural and i did not have cell phone reception (AT&T). And the location did not provide WiFi. So i could not complete what i needed to in order to properly execute the rental agreement. This made the rental process very stressful. The cost of the rental the virtual assistant quoted me and the amount U-Haul quoted me were different. The virtual assistant told me i would need to call U-Haul to talk to them about it. I will NEVER use this location again. It was a disorganized process, stressful, and the virtual assistant was not helpful.
Karen MThere was no drop off location in the rental agreement. There was a UHaul telephone number for me to call when I arrived at my destination. I spent over two hours calling numerous UHaul numbers and talking with 5 or 6 representatives trying to find a UHaul location which would accept a trailer. Finally, a UHaul rep advised me to drop the trailer off at a location which previously advised it would not accept it. The location was very convenient and nice, but had no live person on duty. I talked with a verbal person, left the trailer next to the building, and left the agreement on the desk. In short, the entire return experience was totally frustrating, time consuming, and unsatisfying.
BENJAMIN HWas not advised that I could rent truck for 24 hours at the stated rate up front rather asked how long I needed it. When I needed a little more time I was disappointed to have renew the contract and pay the full rate again. Felt a bit deceptive and not very customer driven at the point of sale.
