Software down. Sent me to another uhaul who had me call and do paperwork over the phone with supervisor and then had to go back to original place to get trailer.

While everyone was pleasant, the wait was too long for something that I contracted on line! Too many things happening at the same time!

They were supposed to open at 10 am but was still not open at 10:15. An employee (Yvonne) that was sitting in the lot waiting for the store to open, took a picture of the trailer number and allowed me to leave it in the back. She then checked it in at a later time. She was great but won’t go back there anymore.

I flew into Charlotte to rent a truck to bring back something important after a family emergency. The people at the U-Haul location turned me away and told me that they didn't "Do U-Hauls anymore". I had to take another taxi to another location just to find out that they did "Do U-Hauls" after all and had to take yet another taxi back to the location where they didn't even apologize for their error which cost me 20 bucks and 2 hours worth of headache. I then received a phone call from the manager at another U-Haul location and had to check out the vehicle over the phone myself with 0% assistance from the people at the location. The truck I received was dirty, had the last person's trash in it, cigarette buts in the ashtray, and smelled like a dead fish farted in it. Although I explained to the guy on the phone that the gas level was a little over half of a tank when I picked up the truck, he marked the level it at 7/8 when he emailed me the contract. I have rented from U-Haul dozens of times in my lifetime and this was by far the most unprofessional pick-up I have ever experienced. Poor isn't the rating that I would like to give it but that's as low as your survey will let me go. If these clowns don't want to "Do U-Hauls" anymore, that please stop allowing them to. The people at the closest U-Haul dealer to them seemed to be squared away. I wish I would have known to go to them to start with.
