I arrived early to pick up the van I arrived before 1:45 to get the van and left right at 3pm. I was in the office for over an hour just to get the keys. Her old kept saying we have all the time in the world. No, I was early and severely delayed until he had to close because of how slow this was. He was annoyed and was snarky saying I should have filled out all my information online . I asked him if it was to prompt me because it never did, nor was there an email to fill in ahead of time. He said oh no, I'm not sure.. I don't know the online process. So why mention that I should have done this online when I just asked if there is a prompt because I never got one? Also no dolly again. So I had to hire two movers because the dolly I ordered was non-existent. Because I waited so long, I had a mass amount of costs due to lack of competency and no communication what so ever. There were no apologies and he kept complaining and saying to take some time and slow down. RIDICULOUS! I OUT OF POCKET COSTS DUE TO NOTHING OF MY FAULT AND POOR PLANNING. I injured my back having to load heavy workout equipment without the use of a dolly. I should not have to pay for that rental.

While the truck pickup went smoothly and the truck itself was OK, I did have some frustrating issues. Both the cargo door locking mechanism and the cargo door were very difficult to open. The hook portion of the lock, that flips clockwise to secure the cargo door, or the lever that a padlock attaches too were damaged and took great force to disengage/engage. The while opening the cargo door it would raise up about 4-6” and stop. And while closing the cargo door it would lower about 3/4 down and stop. So there was a 1’+ section of the cargo door rollers that would catch and, again, it would take a great deal of force to raise and lower the door. Also, I tried numerous times to contact someone at the Chaska site and I no one answered their phone or returned my calls after leaving three messages! Your online help was no help whatsoever. I waited over 20 minutes, twice, to be helped by an agent and lost contact with the first one, having to repeat my questions twice. And then found out they could not extend the rental of the truck at their end. Very frustrating after trying unsuccessfully to contact the Chaska office repeatedly! And then there was the return of the truck. It was after hours (9:45pm) when I arrived at the Chaska site to return the truck. I attempted to use the online return option and encountered a glitch with the application. I tried numerous times to complete the process, but was unable to take a picture of the dashboard, to confirm mileage and gas-tank level, via the U-Haul return application (the screen as black except for the “shutter release” button, the “accept picture” button and the “cancel” button) and there was no option to attach a picture or skip that section. So I had to drop off the key and contract at the gate and hope for the best. The last item is just silly, as the truck mileage was padded by a whole 1/10th of a mile. Why? Other than the pick-up process being handled well and the truck running well, the whole experience was extremely frustrating!!!

Whoever was working on Sunday, July 1st is incredibly unprofessional and absolutely rude. I would never rent from this location ever again solely because of his bad attitude and bad manners. Three people standing in the rain waiting to get in while he was out grabbing fast-food, less than 2 hours after opening for the day. Even when he pulled up to the front gate, he stomped on the gas only to have to slam on the brakes at the entrance. Helped one person at a time (as expected) but without even acknowledging the other two people waiting, something as simple as "sorry to keep you waiting, I'll get to you both shortly" goes a long ways in terms of customer service, a VERY simple acknowledgement. While helping with both the first person and the second person, he sat there and ate that food at the desk. I reserved a rental vehicle online to be picked up at noon, he claimed that none of the information that I had entered online was in their system, yet somehow magically was able to pull up my credit card information that WAS in the system. Asked questions that I had already answered online. Gave me attitude when I said "yes, I answered that online". Tossed a pen at me to sign the paperwork, tossed the keys at me as well. When I asked if the the moving blankets that I reserved were in the van, with that same snotty attitude, he says no, then stomps off to the back room, and basically shoved the blanket at me when he came back. I would NEVER rent from this location again, solely because of him. Every other employee may be exemplary, but this guy's pisspoor personality and lack of people skills was enough to ruin it for me. Yes, I WILL be telling other people about this crummy experience and pinpointing exactly which location I am referring to.

App check out was pretty easy, considering I was using this for the first time. The return by app was not good and this did cost me extra. The main trouble with return was the photo of the odometer and fuel level didn’t load and so I thouythe refueling I did to the level it was at renting was problematic. And so I drove back and filled full tank. That I am not happy about for the addition of mile and then $16 more to get a full tank, when my original use was only 40 miles. I hope UHaul can discount me this overcharge?

To start, I received an email saying I was “guaranteed” the Uhaul truck at 10 a.m. the day before I was picking the truck up. The day of pick up, I get a call at 9 a.m. regarding moving pickup to 10:30 a.m. because a different customer is running late. I agreed to move it back 30 minutes, but when I arrived at the Uhaul pickup location, the employee said the customer was unloading the truck and not close to done. I had to then wait OVER AN HOUR to get the Uhaul, when I had reserved it in advance and been guaranteed the Truck at 10 a.m., plus the truck’s cargo area had not been swept at all after the previous customer. Overall, a disappointing Uhaul pick up, and was not offered any sort of discount or extra miles either, only a “sorry”.

I reserved the truck for 10am. I got moving early so thought I could pick it up an hour early, but the place didn't open until 9:30. So I waited a half hour. Two guys also showed up as well to rent a truck, but the place wasn't open, so they left. lost businesss there. the truck was clean and ready and it was fine, but, this place may want to think about a 8 to 6 program. Just saying.

From a rental procurement standpoint, great experience from Acorn in Chaska, MN! My only complaint is that when I picked up the truck, the inside of the box was filthy and obviously had not been cleaned out by the previous user, and there was one moving blanket crumpled up on the floor which I found out was not supposed to be there. Other than that, the truck ran well and served its purpose handily. Easy rental, easy return, Acorn is the best!
