I took pictures of the gas and the mileage’s. They charged me $13.50 for gas after me filling up the tank already. They lied on the gas usage. I returned the truck 1 hour prior to closing and because the guy was behind in cleaning I couldn’t get my receipt. He told me to take pictures and put the key in the box. Only to find my receipt the next day with extra charges. I’ll drive miles and mike to another U-Haul before going back to that one.

Have friendlier associates. Dave was quite rude during the return, and had a bad attitude. The truck’s steering was very sloppy and took quite a bit of effort to maintain the lane while driving.

I made the reservation over the phone and I specifically asked, If it was possible to have a friend come pick up the keys not the vehicle. The lady over the phone said yes. I gave her my friends name and hung up. My friend gets to the location and the manager said no that i have to be there with license. I was out of town and had to leave early and race back to get there before 7 pm. When i get there they had to do everything all over again including my reservation. Then the girl had to verify who i was by calling someone. I have done security as well as back ground check as well as private investigation. Calling someone up over the phone and asking them if I am who I say I am does not verify anything at all. I will never use this location again, i will drive the extra 20 min to another u-haul. I will also be telling everyone that I know about this location and how it is run. I have extensive experience with customer service and customer relations and that girl you have behind the counter is going to destroy that location. the service was great, Jennifer is very nice and competent My only issue was for an 11 mile trip. it took 1 1/2 gal gas to make the gauge where it was when I left.other than that, very nice experience.



The truck I had was sent out knowing it needed the oil change it is a good thing I know not to push it hard at this time.

Everything was good, until we returned the truck. It was ten minutes after closing, and your employee was still on the premises. He came out to the parking return lot and was very unprofessional. A letter of complaint was sent to the main online site.

When someone requests a pickup at a specific location, make sure the truck is AT THAT LOCATION. Don’t make the customer waste their gas and drive out an extra 25 miles. YOU are providing the service customers are requesting. We pay you to provide convenient service. The customer should not be required to work around U-Haul’s schedule. That’s not an efficient way to run a business. I will say though that the staff at the Ludwig Ave location were very accommodating and provided me with extra miles on my rental to make sure that I wasn’t paying an arm and a leg for extra mileage due to the inconvenience of driving all the way out there. However, in the future, I will not be using U-Haul again.

The only complaint I have is that the truck didn't have windshield washer fluid at all which my trip three times as long because the entire window was covered in salt, but I did not have time to stop to grab washer fluid for the truck due to the time crunch that I was now facing with this.

Absolutely unsafe!!! First of all, the people that work there were very nice, I appreciated them. On to the the vehicles now. The first vehicle, a cargo van, was new and in good working condition. No complaints about that one. The second vehicle was a 10' cube van. This vans tire tread was so low, I don't believe it would pass an inspection!! Today was a snowy and dangerous day in a well maintained vehicle, but this truck made it treacherous. Apparently U-Haul's policy is to only replace the tires at 3/8 tread depth. The legal limit is 2/8's!!! If you hit snow, ice, or rain on 3/8's tread you're almost certainly going to lose control of the vehicle. For the price I paid, I expect a safe and maintained vehicle. It's completely irresponsible for this company to send vehicles out in that condition, especially during winter in Western NY!!! I need to rent a vehicle for a third day, I will be going elsewhere.
