I usually rent from U-Haul and have never had issues until this experience. I originally reserved a 10-foot truck with a dolly at the Otay location, which is only a few minutes from my home. Later, I received a call saying my reservation had been moved to the Telegraph location, which was much farther away. Since U-Haul charges for mileage, this change was inconvenient and added unnecessary travel. To make matters worse, the reservation had been changed to a 15-foot truck, which was much larger than what I needed. I had to call customer service myself to get everything corrected. The biggest disappointment, however, was the customer service at the Postal Annex/U-Haul location. The woman working the counter was extremely rude and acted as though helping us was an inconvenience. She rolled her eyes, huffed and puffed, and had an unfriendly attitude throughout the interaction. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way, and unfortunately, neither was shown during our visit. I’ve always had positive experiences with U-Haul in the past, which is why this visit stood out for all the wrong reasons. I hope management addresses the customer service at this location so future customers are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve.
