I have been to at least two different uhaul locations in the past 12 months. My complaint is not with the individual locations but with the systems uhaul uses. I take the time to fill out all of these forms, download applications, and then somehow it still takes forever to get a truck or a trailer. The locations ive been to have knowledgable staff trying to do their best, but they always seem to run into issues with your systems and its never from a lack of knowledge of the employees.

Man who tried to attach the trailer to my truck was rude. I'm sorry that the lot where the trailer was is not paved properly but I didn't cause it. I'm sorry that his location doesn't supply the tools that other sites do that would allow him to move the trailer single handedly, but I didn't cause that. This man needs training in how to deal with the customer.

The location was fine. However, when I loaded up the U-Haul at my home, the car battery was dead. I called U-Haul phone # hoping I could talk to the helpful general manager but instead # was some general line where I was put on hold for a long time (at least 15 minutes) while I listened to ads for U-Haul. Very frustrating. Fortunately I got a jump from a neighbor and made the deadline I needed to meet (county dump closed at noon). Yet after truck re-started, the A/C didn't work nor my directional signals. Not a great experience.

Received a bill for 12 pads that were not returned. They were returned, unused, at the Bollingbrook IL office the day after I picked up the truck and pads. I filed a claim via chat and am awaiting resolution.

Horrific experience with the reservation process, equipment and drop off. I was sent to two locations to pick up the truck. Advised the associate the (2) utility dollys from online reservation would not be needed for the move, just (1) appliance dolly. I was not refunded the amount and charged for all (3) at the pick up location. When dropping off the truck I was charged for an overage of mileage because the pick up location wrote down the incorrect info. I called the pick up location multiple times to address the error with Nate - he told me he would not pull up contract and that I should contact corporate to file a dispute. He told the manager at the drop off location , he knew the mileage was wrong but assisting me with a correction/refund would hurt his business and the money coming to them. I had to remain at the drop off site for 90 minutes to resolve this issue.

I was a little unsure of what to do with the furniture dollys and blankets since I was dropping the truck off after hours. I didn't want to leave them in the back unprotected from theft and end up being charged for them. I decided to lock them in the cab. I'm guessing there are security cameras monitoring the property. I forgot to ask what to do. Maybye a sign by the key return would be a good idea.

I had an issue with the initial mileage and gas gauge readings on the contract were not correct, which the manager acknowledged. However when I returned it after hours, the old contract was still in the system, so I was over charged. I returned the next day and it was taken care of immediately by Randall (I think). He was pleasant and very helpful. He took care of me in a hurry while assisting his colleagues as well.

When a reservation is made at a specific site, well in advance do not change the location to a place not convenient to where it was requested,this also adds miles onto there bill. There was no reason that the truck could not have been brought from another site by uhaul and not inconvenient the customer or incur hire costs.

I never received my furniture pads and I had to wait in line for 40 minutes despite pre-registering online. The miles on the truck were wrong (typical), but I was already running late so I had to let it go. Horrible experience, would never recommend.

The tire to auto transport was busted. It should have been addressed prior to giving it to the customer. I had to call Roadside Assistance and wait 2 hours for them to come and change the tire before I start the move. They wouldn’t change it themselves at the shop when I called. This was unacceptable.

I did however experience a close to 5 hr wait to get a flat fixed due to no repair tools being available and 3 different drivers being sent who also did not have tools the 3rd only being able tow vehicle and give me a ride home. I lost those 5 hrs. of wages and needed 2 more days of rental to complete project.

For a busy Saturday morning the guys at the counter kept things moving and were professional to a T. Lawrence confirmed my reservation quickly with a minimum of time at the counter. He then personally went outside to get our trailer, make sure it was hitched to my truck properly and with working lights. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend this location and these hard working guys.
