Double check the condition of the light in the truck bed and the gas meter. The meter was a couple gallons less than half, but the contract said it was at half. The light was slightly broken and I had to make sure to tell them before driving away in the truck.

I was charged for driving 89.1 miles when I showed clear evidence that I only drove 31.6. Staff needs to be more careful to document mileage and odometer reading correctly. However, the woman who helped me was very sweet, patient, respectful, and understanding which was appreciated.

I ordered a dolly but 1 was not included in the truck I rented & since I did self check in, it was after hrs when I picked up the truck, there was no one for me to make aware. I did call customer service who assured me the charge had been removed, but when I did the self check out I was still charged for a dolly that was never included.

Lady was not a happy person... complained that U Haul process is broken and difficult... thinking of dropping service. First said I was not supposed to drop truck at her location... then found the order. Then had to call U Haul with questions on days rented. Told me the bill rang up at ~$11,000... WOW.... not right,,, then she made changes and it came down to the $148 I was expecting... more training is needed or you must have a big on call staff to help each store?

I am being charged for "losing the key" after putting the key in the drop box as instructed to do. I will continue to work to resolve the mis-charge, but until it is settled, I cannot speak very highly of this experience. What was supposed to be a simple 4 hour rental has turned in to a 2, almost 3 week ordeal still not resolved.

The truck was not ready at pick up time. They did not have the furniture pads we ordered, yet charged us for them and couldn't take it off so we had to go to a second store to get them. When trying to confirm are order, it took over an hour to talk to someone.

Was informed that the original location that I had reserved a uhaul at had the truck that I had reserved in the morning that I had reserved it for but they had obviously let someone else rent my truck before my pickup time which caused my reservation to be moved to another location(red bank), which caused a big headache for us due to the fact the Milford location was closer by at least 20 minutes to the place where I needed to load the truck up at. This is a very poor effort on their part to take care of a customer that had reserved the truck at least a week in advance from when I needed it. This makes me very hesitant to use uhaul in the future. Very poor customer service!

The rep was not able to find my reservation on the system and said I didn't have one. She sent me to another location which was not the one i called. When I went back, she finally found my reservation after refreshing the screen several times. She apologized but by that time I had already wasted a half hour.

I wanted to share my experience with 2 U-Haul locations last week. On Sunday, May 28th; I had a HORRIBLE experience at the Gilbert Ave location (Cincinnati, Ohio). I was greeted with a blank stare as I approached the counter. The young lady kept saying; "I'm just here, working on my day off". I'm not even "posed" to be here today. My mental reply was; well I'm just here trying to rent a truck on my day off". We're just a lucky pair to have encountered each other today, now aren't we?! You're here at work and I'm in need of a truck so I can return to work (moving). Instead I met her blank (looking past me stare) with a smile. Luckily for me I'd had dental surgery on May 25th so being able to smile was the high point of my weekend! It struck me as odd that this young lady had her name tag pinned backwards on her shirt. I'm pretty sure this is done to "hide" her identity in case you'd like to report/rate your experience. Her level of "customer service" would have to greatly improve just to be rated as; substandard or POOR. I was very irritated with her behavior and left the store without renting a truck. I'd sworn off U-Haul completely. However, this is the busy season and its very difficult to get a truck without a reservation. I was having very little to NO LUCK at all with any of your competitors. I didn't want to call U-Haul EVER AGAIN but my move was getting down to the wire. I'd stuffed 2 cars to the brink of barely closing the doors, windows rolled down and trunks barely closing. In other words; something had to give! Wednesday, May 31st-I'm reading reviews for the WHC location on Red Bank Rd (Cincinnati, Ohio). I decide to give U-Haul another chance to either prove me wrong or prove me right! I admit to having a chip on my shoulder when I entered the Red Bank Rd location at about 10am. I was prepared for more of the same nonchalant, non-caring, disrespectful, discourteous, rude and hostile attitude I'd encountered at the Gilbert Ave store. Paul at your Red Bank Rd location provided text book Customer Service! I was greeted with a smile. He listened intently to my questions and answered them without hesitation, eye rolls, or smirks! I walked in with a grim expectation and walked out smiling and laughing! Paul puts your customers first. The online reviews I read were spot on! Outstanding customer service PAUL! He far exceeded my expectation and went above and beyond to service HIS customer. PAUL saved my DAY....maybe even my sanity!!! Valencia Williams Cincinnati, Ohio
