I reserved a truck for 12 noon at a certain location. I received a confirmation for a different location at a different time. I called to correct it. The person who helped me said they would change the time to 12 noon (from 9am). I said I would just use the new location to avoid confustion. I got to the location at 11.55 am, and the truck reservation was cancelled. The person helping me did not have the common sense to follow through on making the 12 noon change. I left that location, and went to another u-Haul location and picked up a truck there. That one was fine. But your initial service absolutely sucks.

The service was very quick when I first rented the truck. However, the person who helped me never returned my diver's license to me. Later called me to let me know they had it. At that point it was too late to get it by time they called me and I received it. Because of this, I could not drive the truck causing me to have to rent an extra day. So I called to let them know what happened hoping they would applogize for keeping the license and waive the rent day. They did not. They also charged me an extra insurance charge. IN addition due to not having a license, I had to make a extra back and forth trip due to the storage closing before I could fix the problem. So I had to pay for extra mileage. When I rented a truck a week to two weeks prior, when I got there, they had no record of my rental. Then they could not get my credit card to go through. So I was there for an extra 15-20 minutes waiting for them to figure it out. Then I asked for a dolly to be on the truck. It was never there when I went to open the back. Due to the time, I had to go to the store to buy a dolly. Then to make it worse, they called me saying they were going to charge me $150 dollars because they claimed I kept the dolly and did not return it. Either my luck is bad when renting trucks, or is this the service I should expect if I choose to rent again???

I rent approx.one box truck per month to deliver custom cabinets and countertops. I have had numerous problems over the past 2 years. The store forwards all calls to the call center and the phone at this location won't even ring when I'm at the store location to test. This has been going on for the 2 years I've renting 17' trucks which I rent approx. once a month. This past week I needed to contact the store with an issue and my calls where automatically forwarded to a different U haul location in Eylria oh. that store of course had no record of my rental. I dropped off the truck at the location and no one was to be found at the store. I walked around the entire property and couldn't find anyone. I tried to call the store while there and of course the Eylria store picked up again. They forwarded me to the call center which said 2 employees should be there. 15 minutes later someone finally came to the front desk. Ive been told by the call center that it's not uncommon for stores to forward the calls to the call center so they don't have to answer the phones. very aggravating especially since the call center is of little help. They say they can put a message in the system but the employees at the Cleveland store never read the notes.

I've used this place a few times and it has always been good. I was, however, a little disappointed to get charged for 6.00+ over estimate when we returned it with a lot more gas than we received it. Offsetting mileage for gas would be nice.

You could warn the customer what they will have to do if they drop off a vehicle after store hours. No one told me I would be returning the vehicle after they closed and I would have to go to the website and follow several steps by myself to return the vehicle.

The self checkout needs a lot less steps. Take a picture of this, take a picture of that. It took longer to do it myself then it was to just go in and be taken care of. Verifying things is one thing. So if something is verified then you shouldn’t have to prove it’s the same by a stupid picture.

I’ve used this location 3 times and this was my first dissatisfactory visit. Waited a long time in a short line for my reserved van, and one employee had ear buds in and seemed not in a hurry to work. I watched a customer before me ask to see the truck he was renting before he signed the sheet verifying the condition of the truck beforehand and the employees didn’t want to walk him out there. They stated something like, “It’s beat up and we know that, as long as you bring it back with the roof attached we’re good.” What?! Mileage was wrong on printed sheet prior to me taking van I rented - employee fixed it and initialed it on the paperwork so I thought we were good. Regardless of this, I was initially charged for 60 miles when I drove only 12! I called and was forwarded through 2 people having to explain myself. Manager WAS prompt and called me back and took care of it so kudos on him for that, but I still had to wait days for my money back and I don’t want to have to worry about stuff like that. Moving is stressful enough without waiting for my money back. I will strongly hesitate before using this location again.
