BEWARE AND STAY AWAY!!!! After servicing over 23 years in the military and now a Veteran, I wanted to share my review of the Uhaul @ Forest Drive. The Uhaul location at Forest Drive delivered very poor and unprofessional service to me from the time I dropped off the auto transport and also again a several times later when I dropped off the Uhaul truck. On 11 Nov 2018 after driving over 900 miles when I got to Columbia, SC, all I wanted the Uhaul employee( Andrea) to do was unchain and unscrap my car so I could drive it off the auto transport. The Uhaul employee (Andrea) told me she was not able to remove the scraps or chains from my car, after I had already spoke to Uhaul coporate customer service and the rep assured me this location could do it. After over an hour on the phone with customer service and the Uhaul employee Andrea telling me she would have to watch you tube videos to unscrap and unchain my car, I was finally able to back my car off the auto transport. By this point I was extremely tired and irritated by the poor customer service I received and the incompetent employee at this location. I did place a complaint with Uhaul about this incident, however I have not heard anything from Uhaul in reference to my complaint. On 14 Nov 18, I had to return the Uhaul truck back to the Forest Drive location since I had already returned the auto transport to this location. When I arrived there the Uhaul employee (Alison Shepard) checked the truck in on her cellphone, however she seemed not to understand something and said the wrong balance due. As I was standing inside still waiting for my receipt, an unknown person in the store started speaking to me rudely and very unprofessional when I was inquiring about my balance since I did keep the truck one extra day. At this point I did not know who this person was and when I asked her name, she never answered or even acknowledged she was an Uhaul employee. Her attitude and tone was so unprofessional and rude I told her I was called Uhaul coporate customer service and once I told her that she told me she was calling the police. She said she didn’t care who I called because all they were going to do was call her about it. I was shocked. As I’m still waiting on some type of receipt and any charges I owe, I asked the other Uhaul employee that was there Andrea, who was that who was speaking so rudely to me, all she could say was she did not want to get informed and she was off the clock, even though she was sitting at the front desk when this altercation was going on and while I was speaking to Uhaul customer service. As I was speaking to Uhaul customer service, I saw a card on there front desk and the person that had been speaking to me so unprofessional and rude was actually the general manager, Ashley Lewis. I was overly shocked by her interaction with me, a loyal customer of Uhaul for years. When I was finished the call with customer service filing my complaint, the police did come, Ashley Lewis

Originally my reservation was at a different location. When I arrived they did not jave the truck as promise. They called around and found a truck at this location. Once I arrived here I had to wait while only 1 employee tried to handle the customers and interruptions. I have rented from UHaul multiple times but this is the first that has been frustrating. The workers I hired had to wait 45 minutes while their error was sorted out.

My card was used fraudulently and I have contacted uhual over the past 2 month to cease drafting my card and you ignore me and still continue to do it. I habe contacted my attorney who will be assisting me in getting the money back you wont return it's as if you value money more than Corp responsibility

I rented an in town rental in Asheville NC. I returned the vehicle to the Asheville location and received a contract closing out the rental. Then, one month later I received another contract stating that this same vehicle was delivered to this SC location and I was charged $248. I have followed up with Uhaul customer service and waited on hold multiple times for 30+ minutes. I was supposed to receive a call from the district manager and never heard anything back. I have filed a claim with my credit card and am currently on hold AGAIN with U-Haul. I've had a terrible experience and could not recommend anyone rent from them.

My experience was overall not acceptable. I placed my order around 11:30am with a Jasmine, who I expected to be at the location I was calling. At around 12:30pm, I was at the location and there was no pick-up truck as expected. I asked for Jasmine and the attendent did not know her. The attendent seem uninterested that my order wasn't available. I said to him, you all know how to take the reservation but don't know how to keep the reservation? That was a famous line in Seinfeld but it applys to your business.I might use your service again but I will make sure who I am talking with and ask lots of questions. Who is this Jasmine, she owes me an apology. Overall the rental worked out except but a pick-up truck would have been better fit in my situation of moving pine straw.

Ashley Lewis at the Forest Drive location was amazing!! This facility I would recommend. It is a little pricey and disappointing there is an extra charge for 24 hour access. She also promised a phone call back and I have not heard from her - that was on Saturday and it is now Wednesday.

The customer service 1-800 line was very professional and nice. However when I'm winning to your Forest Drive location. I was not very impressed with the young man that was there. He brought the truck out and took pictures. I was very concerned about the gas top missing, he informed me that it was okay to drive. Before I took the vehicle back to the shop, I stopped at the gas station to gas it back up. However I noticed when I was putting gas in the vehicle the gas was leaking out under the truck. I immediately took it back to the store. The cleek inspect the truck. It was very frightening to drive that car with the gas leak in like that. So no I was not very satisfied with the outcome. She did gave me a discount. However I thought the discount should have been more than what it was. Or I should have got the rental free because of that gas leak.

Service and Van were perfect for my needs.



First of all, we were told that we could drop the trailer at any location. We attempted to drop it at a downtown location and they would not accept it. so they sent us to Forest Drive, a 15-minute drive. Upon arrival there was one man to accept the trailer and cared very little about customer service.

I returned truck at 4:59pm. Door locked. Young man going out side door Told me I would be charged $5 or extra day. I am angry! He would not open gate and left. A few minutes passed and a lady showed up on other side of gate. A worker. Very nice and said she would tell office today of what happened. Thank you.
