1) ensure that the pickup location - which I did not select - is not far (mine was 25 miles from where I was moving) from the moving location 2) make sure that the pickup location and independent vendor has an actual counter to conduct business for picking up the equipment (periodic site visits would help with this) 3) ensure that the customer has a receipt at the end of the transaction (I rode around with the truck for 2 hours before my rental receipt was sent to my email address)

I made my reservation 2 weeks in advance then you changed my pickup location the night before, which was no big deal except the lady at Adams Market tried to say she had no trucks but then when she admitted she did, it turned out she had no idea how to sign a truck out. I had to call corporate then wait for a district manager to call me back so he could talk to her to ring it up over the phone. So she finally gives me the key with no paper work at 12:45, my appointment was for 11am. Then when I take it back to a different location the guy accuses me of damamging it and not putting in enough gas. He said the damage was no big deal since I had the insurance but it was the principal of the matter. I in no way damages that truck. Most likely the lady at Adams market had no idea how to log damage to a truck and didn't record it from the previous rented. Then he wanted to see my contract to show me where it showed the amount of gas, but of course she didn't give me a contract. But I know it was right back where I left it though. He finally agreed not to charge more gas but the whole thing was fiasco. Hopefully I never have to move again but if i do I'll just stick with an old pick up truck and a few good friends. Renting from you guys wasn't worth the headache.
