Perhaps check the odo a bit better, i was almost charged going 50+ miles when i went under 20. but the gentlemen helped me out and i am very happy with the service at Concord uHaul on Monument

Except that I could open the trailer gate. The carabiners are a new thing, and I did not have a tool to loosen them. They were too tight. Also, there is no senior discount, too bad.

Took quite a while to be served with no acknowledgement that I was waiting. It also took a while to be served when returning it. After returning my vehicle, it evidently wasn't actually checked back in. Got a call a couple of days later from U-Haul asking where it was. Luckily, that then got straightened out quickly. But I had no receipt showing I had returned it, so was anxious for a while until it was confirmed as returned.

No point in reserving when you don't get what you reserved at location... Shady business practice they call computer glitch put your recommended pick up in another city.

The vehicles previous renter did not return the vehicle on time; my reservation was delayed two hours, then again for an additional three hours. Note that I was not informed about the delay until I arrived to pick up the vehicle, thirty minutes after my initial reservation time. This is normally a tough situation to blame a company/location, but not when their employee reveals that they’d “forgotten” to inform me thirty minutes prior to my initial reservation when they had the ability to. Despite this occurence, three stars have been awarded as they did well in compensating for the troubles, after which everything ran smoothly.

Regarding location, it is to small for the amount of inventory you maintain. Van needed an oil change according to the panel lights.

It seems each employee at this specific location has a specific job, and they only do that job. While the ones that handle the rental pick-up and drop-off do a fantastic job, the others maybe have a bit less enthusiasm for what they do. That is just my observation interacting with 2 individuals; an older gentleman at pick-up and a young woman who was on her cell phone when I was standing in line at drop off. While both helpful, not necessarily either were friendly or welcoming.

our truck had a defective gas gauge. It showed empty my entire 375 mile trip. The engine light then came on so I thought the truck would break down. Very stressful rental.

I was instructed to have my car place in neutral while towing; when I arrived at my destination, my car would not start. I had to take my car to the nearest Dealership. They told me that I was misinformed as my car is a front wheel drive, and did not need to be in neutral. Therefore, I missed my appointment to have movers assist with my move. I would ask that your associate instruct or inform customers correctly. Thanks.

I was severely unimpressed with U-Haul of Concord. First off the staff did not do a walk through of the vehicle before we left their location. They just gave us the keys and said the truck was running outside. The interior of the truck reeked of cigarettes and the cup holders had cigarette butts and crushed snack foods in it. Not to mention that the floor was covered in a sticky drink that had congealed all over the floor and there were used tissues on the floor... To top it off, the allotted mileage was only 30 miles when they knew we were dropping off the truck in Livermore. Apparently, these are common occurrence at the Concord U-Haul. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

When I dropped off my car I was pinned in. My own car could not get out. I had to call a friend to help me maneuver about 20 in/out to get my car out. I could not have done it alone. This was after hours. This needs to be looked at. I'm sure it happens to others.

The staff was extremely unprofessional. When I entered the store, there were three employees behind the desk, all txting on their phones. I attempted to make eye contact to see where I should go. I receiv d glances from each, and it was clear that I was not going to be helped by the lady sitting in the short desk. I went to the next, and not kidding she never once looked at me. She was txting through our entire interaction, while the other lady was on speaker phone with her boyfriend having a conversation that should not have been discussed in the office. The equipment I rented was rusty and dirty. When I returned, the office was just as bad, but now included nachos that were being sloppily eaten by hand with cheese stained fingers. Next time I’ll rent from Home Depot.

Everyone was helping, even when I had to call and change the date to today. Thank you for being flexible...everyone that we were in contact with. It would be nice if we were told ahead of time that we could not leave the cars in the parking lot so that we could park once and not have to move the cars a second time. A simple, don't forget if you are leaving a car, park across the street...when the reservation is made.

Fast and professional service but there is always a long line
