Hi, I am actually requesting a refund because I was not able to use the van as planned. We had to return it because the horrible smell like if there was a dead person or dead fish. I returned the van as soon as we knew we couldn't use it. The movers did not want to use it unfortunately. The lady at the store was nice and very helpful and she said to contact the 1800 number to get the refund as she acknowledged that the van's gas and mileage was the same as when I took it. PATRICK RSubject: Request for Refund and Adjustment of Invoice Dear U-Haul Representative, I am writing regarding contract number 99927286. This reservation was made over the phone at the local level, where I specifically asked the personnel at the store to measure the interior of the van or box truck to confirm it could accommodate an item measuring 72 x 84. I was assured over the phone that the van would fit the item, as the person said they walked outside, measured the van, and confidently stated, "I measured it." After picking up the van and driving an hour to the package pick-up location (which I intended to deliver to my daughter's home in St. Petersburg), I discovered the package did not fit. When I called the U-Haul location, they informed me that they had measured the interior of the van, but not the doorway, which was the issue. As a result, I returned the van to U-Haul, received a $50 refund for the gas I had put in, and was charged an invoice of $66.60. Given the miscommunication and inconvenience, I am kindly requesting a refund of the $66.60. Additionally, I rented a truck through U-Haul for $639.32 under contract number 10645531. I would appreciate it if the $66.60 could be deducted from the $639.32 invoice and credited to the credit card used for these transactions. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
